didn't manifesto close along with 1924 main? Or did it reopen now that the Riegler restaurant has launched?

I'm out of the country, and have been, but I was told that it re-opened when Riegler opened. Not sure of course since I cannot verify. The same owner (Ryan) has ties to The Drop, which is another great cocktail place.

If not Manifesto's, then I would be down for JP Wine bar. If we go the PBR Tall Boy route, then my vote is Grinders

Who's ready for the snowstorm coming right now?

I woke up at 7 this morning, and the snow is coming down pretty hard. It's not the big flakes. It's the small flakes that stick and accumulate.

Most important question: Is Oklahoma Joe's still open?

Appropos of nothing at all, with all the mention of BBQ in Kansas City, I am surprised that nobody mentioned Strouds, which is to fried chicken what Arthur Bryant's is to BBQ. Is it no longer open? I know the original one is no longer there, but the one in the old farmhouse was going strong last time I was in KC, and the fried chicken was spectacular.

They're on Shawnee Mission Parkway in Fairway now. I always thought Stroud's was a bit overrated but we ate it quite a bit when I was a kid. It's been a long time since I've had it.

Strouds is still open as far as I know, drive by it sometimes and there are cars out but have never gone there myself.


It snowed last night but this week the weather is supposed to be great.
