Rainy Weather Boots - Page 2

Doubt you will find anything new for < 80. You might want to look into 2nd hand Fryes or something. And next time use the search feature. Threads like this have been done.

I'm not your height at all (about four inches taller), but I've got a pair of the Earthkeepers and I like them. Comfy, decently warm, good sole... I recommend them because, for Timberlands, I think they look pretty decent - especially compared to some of their other models that are, well, trashy.

I'd also recommend Bean Boots. They're one of the few things in that price range that is of good quality and look pretty good that I can think of.

Are there any other boots that are similar in style to these but are cheaper?

How do Clark's desert boots fare in the rain? Maybe non-suedes or coated suedes?

Thanks!

Edit: And doesn't most of your wardrobe come from H&M or is made from polyester? GTFO

Don't wear most things I bought at H&M anymore; they functioned well as wardrobe fillers for a while, which is all most of it is good for. As for polyester, yeah, I own a lot of it. Polyester is not an inherently poor material choice for a lot of reasons and synthetics are quite common among Japanese brands regardless of market range.

That said, yeah, my post was snarky, but ... he would seriously be better served spending $200 on a decent pair of leather boots. Unless he's walking through floods I don't think he needs boots specifically for dealing with water; a decent pair of rubber soled leather boots are going to do just as well and look a lot better doing it.

This is StyleForum. It's not BudgetForum or whatever. Everyone has different budgets but as I said, there's a certain point where we need to encourage spending more than the bare minimum.

I was hoping for a recommendation for a pair of boots that would work well with my N&F skinny guy jeans. Looking for something sub-$200 if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
