i love good chablis. i have to admit i've never noticed a "walnut oil" flavor, though. come to la, bring a couple bottles of raveneau and we'll explore.

Sadly, well not so sad really, my wine budget genrezally stops around Dauvissat prem crus, but I'll lug some down the next time I am in LA. While I'm generally opposed to spending $100+ on wines, Raveneau is really a miracle worker, isn't he.

yes, he is. but it's definitely a situation of me drinking his wines when people bring them over. not only are they pretty dear, but i find they don't really hit their stride until they're at least 7-8 years old.
