Omega Seamaster 1961 date Mad Men

A great early 60s Omega. I bought this from a respected seller at Timezone a couple years ago. I think I've worn it twice. I'm not really a watch guy and maybe someone else would enjoy this more. An Omega guy here in San Francisco confirmed the watch was in very good original condition. Everything is working fine and he did not recommend a service. That was about 6 months ago. I've included the specs from the original seller below: A very nice example (good-plus over-all condition) of the early 1960s Omega Seamaster automatic. The case is one-piece, all stainless steel with the Omega Hippocampus on the case-back. Serial number 18325386 dates the watch to 1961. Omega Calibre 560 full-rotor 17 jewel movement keeping very good time. The silvered dial is in good condition, with minor signs of age. The dial features applied white metal batons at the hours, and white metal Omega logo and lettering. There is a date aperture at 3 o'clock. The watch is signed five times: case, movement, crown, dial, and crystal. The crystal is perfect and correct, with the internal loupe. A very nice example of a rapidly vanishing breed. Fitted with a new alligator strap. Case size: approx 35mm (diameter not including crown) x 10mm (depth) $SOLD includes free domestic shipping via US Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation and Insurance. Paypal only please. International buyers, please PM me to discuss shipping.

Would be good to know what the case size is.

This looks super clean. '60's Omegas are classic.

What color is face? It looks whiteish with bits of brown? But I might just be seeing it wrong.

Thanks,
Gabriel

Gabriel-- I think the face is picking up some of the brownish color of the background. Typical of watches of this period, the dial is what's referred to as "frosted," meaning somewhere between white and silver. Quite common on steel watches of the era. I happen to have a similar Omega with the same color dial as this watch. Of course, the final word should come from the seller.

Watch just sold. Thanks everyone. The face is sort of a light bronze. I'm not sure what the technical name for it is, but it's not white.
