I did some research of my own (typed "weather balloon" into googleimages) and I do not see any resemblance. Even when I boolean search for "weather balloon" AND "ghost", nothing. Please clarify.

Agreed.
Anyone remember that Amityville boy and his family that was murdered in the 1970's,
and then one of the boys appears as an apparition in a photo taken by a paranormal team?
I still get chills when I see these photos.
