Hit my 2 year mark 5 days ago.

First time I heard about the 540 day limit I went to Wolfram Alpha and typed "days since XXX (order date)". Result: 544.

If it makes you feel any better, that 540 days is part of Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.  It's only applicable in the UK.

In the US, it really depends on which credit card company.  Majority of the chargeback deadlines are under 6 months (most are under 120 days).  After that, any time spent on your case is out of their good will as they no longer have any legal responsibility to help you.

I paid using a card linked to an account in the UK, so no, it doesn't make me feel better, but thanks anyway. :)

Section 75 doesn't apply to paypal transactions. If payment was made direct with credit card, section 75 doesn't really have a time limit.

Any charge back is purely at the discretion of the card company

been following this thread off and on, it's sort of horrifying but you can't take your eyes off of it, like watching a car crash in slow motion.

the above bit was interesting to me - I had been notified in May my jacket was ready to ship but it didn't go out until early September. I don't if that's helpful or aggravating.

I find it particularly interesting to see two former employees of TOJ starting up a company with the same suppliers and what appear to be the same patterns?

best of luck to everyone - it's a total bummer to see what's happened.

btw, I'd 100% expect your luck in filing a chargeback to completely vary depending on your card issuer and possibly whom you get on the phone. sort of curious if anyone's had direct experience with American Express, they usually take care of their customers

you have to think dan had some idea what was going on and if he had any balls could have given us some sort of warning.
