I don't suppose you have heard back from Drew's alleged girlfriend right?

^ Actually emailed some people asking if they could help me translate an email into Korean. Some people who have reached out are living in South Korea, so I'm hoping they can read/ write the language. If anyone here can help me with the translation though, that would be appreciated. Again, my email address is this StyleForum handle (dieworkwear) at gmail.com.

Can't help with anything useful I'm afraid, but when the time comes I'll partake with the egging of the facebook page.

For what it's worth, I tried messaging her on Facebook, twice. They were both very polite emails asking her to ask Drew to get in touch with me. No response.

Have you tried seducing her?

I'm not on Facebook, but I heard once that people can only receive messages from people they've "friended." Is that right, or no?

TBH, not totally surprised she didn't answer, if the message went through.

You can mostly send messages to anyone, with the caveat that messages from non-friends will land in their "other" inbox, which they won't receive a notification about.

IIRC you can pay Facebook a small fee ($1)to send a message into someone's normal inbox.

Can't say that I regret your hiatus is at an end.

Thanks.

Can anyone confirm this? I need to send a message out to someone on Facebook for ToJ related issues. Not Drew's girlfriend, but someone else. Unfortunately not on Facebook myself, so I'll have to get someone to send the message for me, and it would be good to know if there's a way to have the message land in their "regular" notifications in-box.

Also, still need to find someone who can translate a message into Korean. If someone can help with that, would really appreciate an email.

Sadly, he appears to have moved to Australia to live out his dreams of being a barista

It is true. If you aren't friends with someone and you try to message them, it will get sent to the "Other" inbox which is a total black hole (nobody ever checks this or even knows it exists).

I have paid the dollar before and it did work...they saw my message and responded. I was trying to snag a sick deal on a craigslist guitar, but the person had typoed their email address (undeliverable). I figured that if I waited for them to figure out that their posting was wrong, someone else would beat me to the deal...saw someone on facebook with the same name who lived in the right neighborhood. Sent them a normal message, realized they would never see it, so I took a gamble and paid the dollar to make it show up in their inbox. It worked and they responded to it (although they were not the person selling the guitar).

I don't know about this. Someone I'm not friends with sent me a message and not only did it show up in my regular inbox, but it also came through to my phone and opened a Facebook messenger chat. It was a work colleague and they didn't pay anything to contact me.
