Looking short or tall is all about unbroken vertical lines. Either the whole line of your leg (cropped) or the line of the long coat (chesterfield). If you have comparatively long legs the former is slightly better, but if you have stumpier legs, the latter is better.

I've had a question about ToJ products for a little bit now. If my suit size is a 38, would I take a 46 in most ToJ products or a 48? I was always under the impression that ToJ sizing was different from standard European sizing -- am I wrong? From my understanding: US36 - xs US38 - small US40 - medium ToJ44 - xs ToJ46 - small ToJ48 - medium EU46 - xs EU48 - small EU50 - medium

Email Charly and see how your actual measurements match up rather than going by the size number. I don't know where you shop that 38 is a small though.

J. Crew?

On a serious note, one of the advantages ToJ offers is the MTM option. Use it, my friend!

From my understanding:
US36 - xs
US38 - small
US40 - medium

ToJ44 - xs
ToJ46 - small
ToJ48 - medium

EU46 - xs
EU48 - small
EU50 - medium

You certainly wouldn't want to go down two sizes from your suit size when buying outerwear.

I was actually wondering about this too. Since when does a size 38 not correspond to a small? Am I missing something here?

I always thought small was 34-36, medium 38-40, large 42-44, XL 46-48.

I'm pretty sure its...

USA - 38=small

Europe and everywhere else (as well as most designer brands inc. USA ones)- 36=small 38=medium

If you had a 38" chest, wouldn't a lot of smalls in a lot of brands fit you skin tight? From what I've seen, smalls are generally around 19 inches pit to pit, thus 38 all around. Idk though
