Drew knows he could do it for that much, when he originally brought upnthe idea of making a shearling coat he estimated the price at "over a stack" which is realistic for sure. With this 3k nonsense hes really just gone off the deep end. Guy thinks hes making Hermes or something.

Why should anyone give any credibility to a single word you say when you don't know the difference between shearling lined and full shearling?

by the [end] of the first week of december. 3 week delivery time should be a reasonable expectation, i hope.

toj needs to announce when they have received their next shipment of whisky colors. if the sizing turns out well for the bomber, i'm going to order the moto next.

thanks for the tip. as i (re)started dialogue with drew/charly w/e this week i was informed that there was whisky. by the time i set the time aside to finalize my measurements, someone kopped the last jacket.

i probably would have ordered a whisky moto instead of a bomber if they still had it in stock.

This is some accidental lookbook shit. yellow hat, brown oversize parka, overwashed jeans, white sneaks. and where do you live such that everything is brown and covered in debris?

Woodyear, my troll friend - I admire persistence, because if you're on the right track, one can be rewarded with great things. Unfortunately, there's always some sort of glitch in your matrix and you're wrong on the internet, again. lol.

Let's go from front to back on this, and do some numbers. SInce you seem to have a better knowledge of these things, tell me your best guess on these numbers:

1) a: The RRP of the Burberry Prorsum shearling jacket
b: The wholesale price of said jacket
c: the number of people working for, or with Burberry Prorsum, from raw material to customer delivery, who need to get paid for their work
d: the material cost of said jacket
e: the labor cost of said jacket

2) a: The RRP of the Aero jacket
b: The wholesale price of said jacket
c: the number of people working for, or with Aero, from raw material to customer delivery, who need to get paid for their work
d: the material cost of said jacket
e: the labor cost of said jacket

3) a: The RRP of a TOJ jacket
b: The wholesale price of said jacket (void, there is no wholesale price)
c: the number of people working for, or with TOJ, from raw material to customer delivery, who need to get paid for their work
d: the material cost of said jacket
e: the labor cost of said jacket

4) a: The 'ideal' RRP of the TOJ shearling jacket that you think I can make
b: the material cost of said jacket
c: the labor cost of said jacket

I don't know, mate. 3 weeks for a bomber at this time? I think there is still backlog of bombers in production due to all those TOJ1 orders... Expecting it in three weeks will only lead to more pain and anxiety when you find out its not coming until the fifth :P

lol. The thing that drives me crazy is he keeps saying could... like random Pakistanis could make this for $abc, and TOJ could make that for $xyz. I'm sure TOJ could make that jacket for $1,500 if you all wanted to work for free, endure the headaches of creating a limited run item, compromise on certain aspects of design, etc.

The place down the street charges $20 to wash my car. Carpenoctem could come and do it for me tomorrow for $15. C'mon bitch, wash my car.

Here's to hoping I managed to time my order optimally shog[1].gif

Yeah don't count on three weeks, on average my shipments of ToJ are at around 4-5 weeks, currently my VTG MDR is sitting close to 5 weeks. Best to just forget you ever ordered one, then be extremely surprised and pleased when a tracking number pops in your email.

From my understanding, it's done in batches. So your wait is typically longer if you miss a cutoff or if you order something infrequently made--shorter if you luck out and get in right at the end of a batch.

However, this is purely speculation. smile.gif
