I know this was asked, but I don't think it was answered - how does the toughness of the vegetable tanned leather compare to FQHH?

I don't have a vegetable tanned leather jacket, but I do have a belt of that nature. I also have a FQHH jacket and if the veg tanned jacket feels anything like my Tanner Goods belt, they are totally incomparable. FQHH feels almost the same as my calf, only the texture is rougher. I imagine veg tanned to be straight up hardcore and will give your upper arm cuts for a while.

How slim do you want it? I'm 5'9''-5'10'' at 155 lbs. My chest measures 37'' and I have a baseball jacket in a 46. It's a fitted look, meaning that I can button all buttons, but I can't layer anything under. There are some pictures up in the TOJ website for reference as well. If you want a more relaxed fight, go with a 48 IMO.

Just wondering when you meant by can't layer, that you can only wear a t-shirt? Is a shirt going to be out of the question? I'm not looking to wear like a sweater under or anything like that, prob just t-shirts and shirts. Also, do you have comfortably free range or movement or feels restricted? I'm 5'10 135 lbs and deciding a 46 with +length or a 48.

btw I'm looking at fit pics on the TOJ gallery and just wondering if the baseball jacket is the same slimness as a TOJ1? Because the measurements seem very close.

Zippers for the whiskey jackets that we were waiting on (the dyeable zips we use for the colored jackets in general) came in from Japan and now those jackets can move soon.

Is there a particular reason so many people on here are so slim? Due to a couple of injuries I've shrunk back to 180lbs of late, but it's always kinda shocked me just how lightweight most people on SF seem to be. Is it related to the fashion focus of this place?

If you're not a workout-maniac or a hungry american, I'm afraid that people here are quite "normal".

First time out in my TOJ1, first compliment received. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Question: Is the TOJ Peacoat warm enough to be used as the primary winter coat in a New York City/ South Scandinavian climate?

I find it hard to decide between the peacoat and the (new) dufflecoat.

go to tivoli drunk! look at boats! eat rode polser (or "red weenies" for those of us in the know). copenhagen is awesome.

I know this has been asked before but I'm really interested in some info about the winter coats.
It's almost november, include at least a month waiting time from order to delivery and we're in 2012.
I've tucked money away for a ToJ fishtail or any of the new style(s?) but right now I'm in doubt whether I should wait or go for a coat somewhere else.

What synth said. And must-do's also include:

1) Christiania free-town. Chill with beer, tree-hugger food, and weed and watch the crazy people go about their business.
2) Cafe Petersborg on Bredgade 76. OLDschool restaurant with traditional Danish cuisine. This shit is cash.
3) Get shitfaced and use whatever foreign nationality you have as an excuse to hit on hot blondes.
