I'd actually be very down with this. I want a nice, thick tee that is pretty long but still slim/fitted. I would even suggest making it extra long to compensate for shrinkage after a few washes. I can wear Hanes premium tees but after 2-3 washes, it becomes out of shape and very short. Silent tees are nice but I do find them thin and not to mention they retail for $100+. If Drew could sell a pack of tees that fit as described, I'd be willing cop a few packs of those.

I think Fok touched on this; but Drew's focus has always been on basics. Well, that's a poor choice of words. Fundamentals would be an even worse choice; but you get the idea: sharp, well-cut pieces that are edgy but also easy to wear. I can throw my jacket on with jeans, a tee and some boots or sneakers and walk out the door (I've worn it with plenty of other ridiculous ****, but that's beside the point). It doesn't really take any thought to wear, it breaks in quickly, and you end up forming an attachment with it pretty quickly. I feel the same way about it as I do about my old, busted-up APC jeans that I still wear with everything from high-tops to "dress" shoes to boots. No fuss. Drew's talked often about his ideal daily get-up: leather, tee, jeans, sneakers. I'd love to see a TOJ offering of these items. Leather jackets are covered already. I'm not sure how he'd feel about making white t-shirts, but I always wish that my Hanes V-necks were a bit slimmer, a touch longer, and a lot nicer. Obviously, I haven't the faintest idea how easy or hard it is to manufacture t-shirts; I imagine that you need a pretty high turnover rate to make any money at all on them though, so maybe that wouldn't work. Jeans have been discussed and lusted after. Everyone wants Dior, etc, but goddammit all these tiny denim operations have super-thick leather patches, 64oz horsehoof denim, and railroad ties for donut buttons. **** that; all I want is a pair of jeans at TOJ quality that's slim, slouchy, and no-fuss. Doesn't have to be sugarcane fairy cock denim; in fact, my own ideal would be quite a bit thinner and lighter. Could be just blue, or could be blue or black. Leather detailing would be excellent. Again, I suppose if you have a small customer base and people only buy one of something you're probably not making much money, so maybe there's no hope there? Sneakers/boots: Is this impossible? A black side-zip with a small heel and a white sneaker? I don't remember the discussion from a year ago or whenever, but I'm allowed to daydream, right? Anyway, aside from all that, any kind of new name ought to reflect the precision that Fok touched on in his own post. TOJ is sharp, masculine, but not swarthy, not assuming. It's quirky, edgy, but not overblown. It's simple, well-constructed, and interesting both visually and from a patterning/construction standpoint. There's this little street-food place near me that has about 10 things on the menu. 9 of them are ****. The zha jiang mian is absolutely stunning. They do it perfectly. Enough salt to make the noodles interesting, enough oil to make your beer worthwhile, meaty and chewy enough that you feel like you've gotten a killer deal, but not overblown, or over-seasoned in any way. You don't need garlic sauce, you don't need anything, you just sit down outside with your bowl of gourmet street food and watch people on the street. Balance, motherfuckers. So, names. Sharp, precise, and to the point; but playful, unassuming. Should we go for French/vaguely latinate? Maybe. jouissance exacte? armatura supinus? ivresse quotidienne? Supinocerto? ****, I'm going to have to think about this a lot more. Carry on.
You see Drew turn down a lot of these ideas about diversifying his selection. It seems like the reasons for this are usually because they are things that he couldn't put his name behind, or they require a high overhead. I think that he said that, at the level of quality he'd like to produce denim at, others would be able to do it cheaper than he would. Knitwear would take different equipment from what he already has available. Footwear also takes different equipment and work. If my opinion mattered, I don't think I'd want him to try and be a lifestyle brand. I don't want to be decked out in TOJ from head to toe (****, I haven't even put an order down on my first jacket). Drew is a genius at making stuff that a lot of us would want to wear, in the sizes we want to wear them, with amazing customer service, and all at a price that most of us can agree is fair (even a steal, when you consider the pricing of the competition). I think branching out could jeopardize all of that at a time where it seems like he's pretty comfortable with his level of production and the quality of the product he offers.

Looking at those pics it seems like the shoulders are too wide, but really they aren't. The jacket hugs both shoulders. Might just be that the pics suck or w/e. In reality my jacket fits very similar to the way Aeglus' moto fits him.

Drew, the convertible cuffs are great. Also, I know everyone is queefing over the other leathers, but I really think your updated moto is the best piece in the line.

Co-sign on the tees for reasons already stated, though my one addition would be for them to not be TOO slim. That's one of the reasons a tees from mid-tier / high-end brands appeal to me. They strike the balance between providing an interesting drape while retaining a slim-ish silhouette.

I fear stuff like tees in general wouldn't be ideal from a business perspective since Drew would have to move a lot of those suckers to turn a respectable profit. And he's already voiced the pratfall of making something based on lots of demands and verbal "yeah, I'd buy that": people flake the **** out when it comes time to press "send payment" on PayPal's website.

Whoknewi it looks great I think it might give the appearance of a larger top because there is no collar to distract from the shoulders like the other jackets

I was hoping to be the first one with a 2011 moto lol. Drew has recommended for me to use measurements very similar to my bomber

While I am posting I think I might as well post my bomber from the start of the year

Size and height/weight? Since receiving my MDR, I'm planning on getting a bomber (or a BCDR) as well.

whoknewi-naw man, shoulders are too big, they're almost past your delt it seems. motos should fit tight and badass, not big and comfy.

Damn, Synth has the right direction. We'd all be eternally grateful if such ideas ever came into fruition. Jeans would be fill the much needed gap in between APC and DH. Quality denim in slim slightly slouchy cuts that can be worn with anything. No need for any of the fancy detailing that we see in japanese repro denim. Just clean, unadulterated jawnz.
