I'm posting this here instead of editing my original posting:

*One thing I've never understood though, if you could clarify this and just put the zipper talk to rest it would be great.

TOJ is relatively small compared to some huge name brand. How hard is it for the maker of the motos to substitute the zippers with the old tab pulls if the buyer is asking for them and fully acknowledges that it is an inferior design in TOJ's opinion, but we want it for the look. Does it have something to do with how you buy the zipper configurations in the first place?

I mean if this wasn't much of a hassle and could potentially result in more sells for TOJ, why not? Hell, I would pay a $25 customization fee to have the old zips, still worlds better than anything else sub 1K.

It's not hard. As I said, I could do it for you tomorrow. However, I'm not going to do that, because I don't aim to make inferior goods. I think that is counterproductive to my ideals of quality. Would you go into a sushi restaurant and say 'look dudes, I know you sell sushi here, but I know you're able to cook and you can probably make hamburgers - can I order one of those?'

as of right now, all TOJ jackets will cease to have zippers. They will get velcro instead, because I think that will be easier for people to understand. zippers are for grown ups. (10)

Yup, long story short I can only get on that name on my laptop due to password (keyboard issue ). No response from mods about resetting it, so I just said whatever and made a new name. Don't be offended because I'm raising genuine curiosity about the jacket.

Geeze. No one ever attempt to speak your mind in this thread again. (0)

Drew, can the upcoming velcro be changed? Otherwise, I'll have to search the aftermarket.

Anyway, since we're on the topic, here's something else to let eat away at your brains, that's been happening recently: I have been accepting a small number of full custom jacket orders; so far that is just one jacket, the Uncontrol Rider, but another guy asked about something else and we discussed it and then he went some other route and passed on it - but basically the idea is, I make custom clothing if people understand what that entails. Both of the one-off jackets I mentioned were for people who knew what they wanted and were willing to pay what the projects cost. Most likely, if you ask me about modifications, and customizations, you are gonna get rejected. I only want to do it if the project is interesting and worthwhile. Changing the zipper pulls on an existing design is not worthwhile. Somebody is getting the Quilt DR's shoulder and sleeve quilting on a 2011 DR with a 2 pocket front, that is worthwhile IMO.

Ok, this is another thing that could be interesting then.

Could you clarify. Is this just something like uncontrol's where you take an existing design and mess with the materials?

or are you perhaps thinking about all out custom, complete different layout of of jacket. As in like a TOJ 5 zip or something?

It's not the fact that he asked, it's the fact that he's asked the same question over and over and over again

Either or, and no.

I just had the idea you might be BRMC_Doves because I haven't this many moments since I had some multi-post thread with him a year ago or more about my varsity jackets where I stated the obvious. And then he just went back to buying and selling TOJ on the aftermarket. Hadn't seen him around and I saw you registered in Apr 2011 so I thought the doves may have been reborn.

I probably wouldn't be ready to buy for awhile, but am wondering if a black or dark navy haircalf moto/DR would be possible?
