Which Panerai are you looking at? The Portuguese has a 41mm dial, but I'd argue that it wears pretty big since there's practically no bezel. If the Portuguese works for you, I think a PAM should be no problem. Of course you'll never know till you've tried it on. I was comfortable with my 36mm Datejust, but I had no problems transitioning to 40mm (Sub) or 42mm (Speedy), so the jump from 41mm to 44mm might not be that big a deal for you. Especially considering the IWC wears larger than it really is.

Just received my Black MDR and was very impressed with the piece that I decided to finally make an account on SF. Here are some fit pics: http://i.imgur.com/l5848.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WFtGv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/U0U4S.jpg This is a 45 with a 46 length. As a reference, I'm around 5'8 at about 140 lbs. The shoulders do have a bit of room. edit: Fixed the pics. Thanks GBear!

Ohh where are you going, dude? I won't be looking at another watch until I have another $5k at the minimum I can spend without sweating. Edit: I was looking at the baby baller PAM 000, lol.

Just finishing up a co-op workterm. If I don't get a university transfer, I'm going back to my old one back in Waterloo, Ontario. :/ The weather sucks up there but it'll justify wearing a ToJ all of the time through spring/fall.

Like I've said, I've never liked PAMs. I just think they look ugly but that's my opinion.

Agreed. That's the one jacket I'd buy in a heartbeat if it came back (hint hint)

Haven't seen a review of the new classic shirt yet, so I'll change that. First, the fabric is great. Not sure what type of weave it is, but it is much lighter than I expected, perfect for summer weather. Fairly wrinkle resistant, I can tumble dry it for a minute then hang without needing to iron for work, although it is not as good as the oxfords were in this department, but their wrinkle fighting power was really uncanny. The placket, collar, and cuffs are still substantial though due to extra fabric being used there. The fit is pretty great, I love the high riding shoulders. Sleves are slim but allow just aough room to roll above the elbow, which I do a lot. I would prefer the body to be slightly slimmer, but that should be easily fixed by increasing the already present darting. If I had to change one thing, I would like a slightly taller collar. I'm not sure that it's the shirt I would go to if I needed to wear a tie, but I don't normally wear a tie so it's ok with me. The buttons are the same as the oxfords and the nicest you will ever find. This will be my go-to shirt for work for the forseeable future, and once I get it tailored it will be great for casual untucked fits as well. For reference I'm 6'2 180, 42 chest, and went with an xl. Good job Drew! I'm coming back for a minimalist dr in black lamb!

I need a whisky DR. Minimalist or full hardware? That is the question.
