When did you order them?

The grain on Joona's jacket seems unusually pronounced. TBH, they look like parts of a hide that should be cut around, not used for a jacket.

Some lambs in the past, which is what I understood lamb to look like (maybe slightly more veiny, but not grainy per se):

@impolyt_one, a lot of DRs are reaching one year (and passing), any update? (im a day away from a year)

I personally would by a little upset if I had that much grain on my jacket. The MDR I have has very little grain and I love it.

Yeah I think on the BCDR orders I have, if I got that much grain, I wouldn't be very happy. I imagine there probably isn't a way to "prefer" less grain on your leather though, unfortunately

My ma1 is veiny not grainy.

That MA-1 grainy as fuck.

I dunno if I like that much grain. I'm usually a grain-o-holic too.

I will to that tomorrow if he won't reply my last email with tracking code. He is always saying that he sent the package to me, but on wednesday it will be a month since I sent him the payment and still didn't get anything. But I don't want to write too much until everything will be clear. But it is not normal for a package to be traveling a month from the states to Europe via USPS. Usually it takes 5-10 days.

It's not unheard of for economy packages, especially if it was sent as consolidated.

When I used to build cabinets and custom furniture, we'd have a huge fat stack of say... solid walnut. You grab a piece to mill it and if it's not perfect, it gets set aside. Eventually, your perfect pile has dwindled, and you're pulling from the slightly less perfect pile and so on and so forth until you've used up all the usable pieces.

Maybe something similar happening here? Are we getting to the dregs of the hides? I assume they've bought leather in bulk and they're trying to use it all up (I know nothing about anything, so could be wrong).

I certainly hope not or I'll be really upset. Some people have mentioned that their TOJ Lamb jackets came out very thin (enough to tear easily), and drew has always been extremely confident about the thickness of the lamb he offers. So I do worry about this. It's one hell of a gamble to put on a $800+ jacket we've been waiting for for almost a year.

Yes, let's all speculate wildly... ffffuuuu.gif
post #40664 of 44919
The leather on my recent BCDR was not veiny nor grainy. And not thin.
It's one jacket only so it could be just that. Of course, it is disappointing not to get the quality you expected (thinner leather, very grainy leather, etc.) especially when compared to the other jackets posted here that have better leather quality.
