The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 2681

@RetroFuture got it right - we understand that life happens sometimes, so in rare cases we issue refunds (though it's hard to pick and choose who is going to be blacklisted or not since we can't judge what's the truth or not, thus the blacklist rule is in effect for all if cancellations occur). At the moment, Drew is a very busy man so it may take him a while for him to get around to doing a refund.

Rather than have a customer wait, it seems to be much faster for someone to take over their spot while I facilitate.

@iamacyborg is correct.. this is much more work for me. But if it makes life easier for everyone else involved, that's fine by me.

First customer gets their funds back much quicker (and also do not get blacklisted if that matters to him).

New customer gets their order in that they wouldn't have been able to.

Drew has less tasks on his plate.

And I get to do all the work of facilitating the change, communicating the change to Daniel, and going through the order process again for an order that was already set..............

wait a minute.. maybe I should get rid of this.. haha

At the end of the day, if you want to take advantage of it if you're in a rough spot, great!

If you don't, great!

Lol, what half-assed marketing e-book do we blame for this new routine? Blacklisted from what? They're out of business. They're not taking new orders. They have several hundred thousand dollars of your money, and the coats, if they will ever get made, are conveniently scheduled to appear after it's possible to open a PayPal fraud case....

Now a refund takes months? No it doesn't. It's the click of a button.

People realize this and are desperate and selling their spots, yet this will only let ToJ keep the money and the new 'spot owner' will be left holding the empty bag. Reminds me of the pyramid scheme that shot through my college dorm that one summer...

This 'blacklisted' business. lol8[1].gif So transparent.

Guys: don't wait months for a refund. Do it through PayPal, if you were wise enough to use it. It's easy, they side with the buyer, and you don't have to listen to someone with your hundreds of dollars talking about the *hard work* of emails he will have to do to hold into it.

Yeesh.

Agreed. These people are total frauds and terrible human beings. No one is getting their jacket.

In SuFu you get shit on everywhere possible for making bad sales threads or having bad prices/pics. None of this discussion should be happening outside of B&S anyway, much less in an affiliate thread.

I don't know if you're kidding, but I wasn't trying to imply that at all. They may have simply painted themselves into a corner; I just think people should be able to get their money back, and at the very least, receive meaningful info, not these obvious marketing ploys designed to allow them to keep your $$$ as long as possible, in a way that outlasts whatever protections you have with paypal, etc.

i lol'd at how a picture of 15 or so leather jackets is proof that everybody's going to get theirs.

I guess the hundreds of jackets that've been produced since ToJ started must have all been part of some elaborate scam.

I've been defrauded right here on SF B&S by someone who had sold some things legitimately for a while to gain trust and legit seller rep, and then as a last hoorah created several fraudulent semi high dollar listings and took the money and ran.

Not saying the ToJ would do that though.
