Are you kidding me? How long have you been following this thread? TOJ's customer service, and the brand experience has been praised almost endlessly up until recently.

An Open Letter To Drew Keith:

Hey Drew

Thanks for making me two succulent black lamb bombers that I wear all the time and an amazing fishtail coat that has survived nasty holiday winters with sexual ease.

I really appreciate everything you have put into ToJ and wish you all the best in your new ventures.

Please don't let this cunt storm of a thread, full of wannabe entitled internet tough guys and nineteen year old half-cocked aspergers retreads, stop you from working on the next generation of jawnz when the time is right.

Thanks for the good times and the swag,

Raz

I really like my ToJ. It's one of three leathers I choose between when I travel. I have it here with me in France right now. No, it's not the best make, and I have jackets with better leather. But the ToJ was both MTM and had a reason price between $500 and $2200 less than the other jackets.

Lesson one in life: you always pay. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes not. Yes, you can work with Johnson leathers in San Francisco or something, and get a great product for about the same, much faster. But you'll need to fly to SF, get a hotel, eat, etc. Not bad, but not convenient for most people either.

We are doing a Vanson make, but it's a long process too, and after the body is set, there are set modifications.

So, you pick your poison.

We don't need that. We don't need a TOJ history lesson. We just need to know what the hell is going on. We're waiting in the rain for my fucking bus and the bus tracker can't tell me if it's 2 minutes away or 200. It makes me feel like a shmuck for paying all this money and waiting all this time.

I can already feel the hate coming, but oh well.

I can't say this enough, don't stress over things you can't control, it won't change anything other than your stress level and give you an ulcers, the buss will come when it comes, the traffic won't move any faster and your jacket comes when it comes and this is coming from someone who had one at age 21, because I stressed over everything.

Drew actually said that people could post their name, date of order and model, and he would try and give an estimation, but I'm yet to see anyone do that, so at this point it's complaining for the sake of complaining.

Regarding Drew not replying to you, could he actually say anything at this point that would make it better for you or would anything he says just make it worse or give reason for further complaints? Having read your posts while you were in the process of ordering, changing, changing and changing it again, my guess would be no and I think Drew has come to the same conclusion, which is why he's not replying.

Bring the hate I'm ready.

I don't hate you Find Finn. I think you feel very righteous, overly so, but you seem like a decent guy in spite of all that. We all have our flaws and differences of opinion.

Nope not at all, very far from it and I actually hate waiting more than you would ever know and I have zero patience, but I have just realized that something are not worth ruining your day over (in this case months and months), as its out of your hands.

I think I get it. John Coppidge in Jönköping, sounds kind of funny if you pronounce it like a yank but doesn't work if you pronounce it like a swede. smile.gif

I e-mailed yesterday with all of these details. I have made no modifications when I ordered/paid on 11/12/13 (30th week). Keep in mind I was quoted 16-20 weeks before I purchased and then was re-quoted 35 weeks after 20 weeks had passed. Here is the response:

"It may be a few months til completion."

This is a very non-committal answer. It may or may not be a few months? What does this even mean? It may be 3 months? It may be 6 months? It may not? They've been running this business for years. If they have x number of jackets in the queue and y number of jackets get produced each month or week, they should be able to provide reasonable estimates on wait time.

If only they charged $3,000 with a five-year wait time, it would really root out the non-serious customers like this guy. What a whiner. Wah, wah, I paid for something, I want it, waaaaaaahhh.....

No one is paying 3000 and waiting 5 years for a toj.
