It is pretty noticeable in that picture; I'd be interested in seeing a calf with that kind of wear in the arm just for comparison, but I think this effect is unavoidable in any jacket that has slim fitting arms over time. My denim jacket (not TOJ just in general) has a similar bump around the elbow, and I really love the way that lambskin jacket has creased.

Oh wow, this is helpful.  Google was turning up all sorts of results about button down shirts and the like.

No jacket lasts forever be it calf or lamb. Only true love lasts forever! That said, do people have zero idea on how leather works? Every time I read 'is lamb that fragile' question I feel like butbut.gif If you do things that damages a leather jacket they may leave just as much damage on any other kind of garments.

I agree, set-and-forget.

But I have to add to that...don't look at Drew's instagram, otherwise you'll see exactly what your jawn money has been doing...funding luxury cars, international jet sets, five star hotels, premium cigars, margiela, bottles of champagne, and caviar purchases while you've been sitting at home for months, cold, alone, jawn-less, starting to drown in your own sweet sorrow.

Isn't this what lots of successful business owners do with the money they make? Next time you pay a medical bill, think of some healthcare czar chilling on a yacht. Or deposit a check. Or buy groceries. I dunno, doesn't bother me. It's not affecting production.

I'm sure there are some who do this, but others, like me, don't necessarily sit there counting each week that has gone by lol I probably counted once around the six month mark, and then it just happens that when I decided to count recently, I realized that it's been 38 weeks (I have to admit, though - did send Charly two or three emails out of curiosity as to where in the progress my jacket is). The number seemed a bit higher than what I'd been seeing on this thread, so I just wanted to get an idea from others as to where they are.

As for how Drew spends his $$, I don't think that's really any of our concern; not that I particularly like the fact that it's been eight-to-nine months since I ordered my jacket, but it's not as if the jackets would be produced quicker if Drew were to stop spending money on car maintenance and drinks. Unless you're asking him to entirely give up on his lifestyle to make jackets for you, which would be ridiculous, I don't see a good logic in calling him out for the way he chooses to spend his money, as long as he's not harming others with it lol

I'm planning to order my first TOJ, if that's still an option.

I'm leaning towards a Moto since I'll be 34 soon and I feel that double riders are maybe too much.

I'm also sure I won't go for a black jacket since not long ago I got a 10 Sei 0 Otto in oiled calf in black which is pretty decent.

I also don't like brown.

I also know I want calf leather, so I've narrowed by decision to two options:

- Oxblood.

- Suede in Diesel Blue.

Unfortunately I haven't found pictures of any of those two in a Moto, all of them seem DR.

I think non-suede will age better, do you agree? On the other hand, I'm concerned about oxblood because it looks almost like brown in some pictures, I'd prefer it to be more reddish, red colour is too bright.

BTW, 40 weeks?

Any recommendations on Girlfriend DR 2010 vs MDR for a 5'2" female? Photos labeled one and two, respectively (ignore other pictures)

Fungz0rz admitted that he wears his jacket in the rain a lot. If you mean the elbow bags that's just from having a very slim elbow measurement.

haha.
