It's got nothing to do with being a guy. This is the ToJ thread, we're here to talk about ToJ products, not unrelated leather products. The clue's in the title, and in the first post in this thread. There's a general leather jacket thread for leather jacket talk. Keep this one about ToJ.

If you don't know what someone is asking, don't answer them, there's enough misinformation in here that we really don't need even more people talking about stuff they don't know.

Don't sleep on the dark brown goat.  About 5 months in.  Think it's a good combo of both lamb and calf and black and brown.

Pretty much perfect representation of this design for me. The silver horizontal zippers adds so much. Oh yeah, and the fit is spot on.

For those who wear a backpack, what kind of bag do you wear with your TOJ(s)? I'd want to ideally have one that goes well with all of my jackets (MDR, leather MA-1 and quilted Moto)

My daypack goes well with all of my jackets, including my MMM. Since they're all black (backpack and the jackets), it's a matter of contrasting texture.

what do you think would go better with black leathers? nikesb or herschel?

TOJ Jackets are fairly clean, I would prefer a clean backpack, as well. The Herschel would be better but still not ideal. If you gotta carry shit around with you though, it's better than that buckly/strappy nikesb. For reference I'm a hypocrite since I'm usually wearing my Mission Rambler even with my black lamb BCDR, but I have shit to do throughout the day and backpacks are convenient as fuck.

Backpacks are definitely the most convenient for me as a college student. I have a Missionworkshop rucksack but don't really like how it's shaped of it so I don't wear it too often. The Herschel seems like it's way too simple and the NikeSB is nice too but i feel like its a bit too "techy" to wear with such a sleek leather jacket.

I'll chime in. DBG w/ silver is a head turner, especially if you size the shoulders perfectly - results can be quite dramatic.
Calf is tough, tough to wear ... puts other people on edge, fight or flight kind of response ... even when there's space in the elevator people look at you and say it's aight, they'll take the next one

I get where you're coming from. Carry is definitely the weakest part of my wardrobe, but I don't expect myself to be on point with regards to my fit 24/7. I have real shit I need to do, and part of that requires carrying a high-volume backpack with laptop/textbook/waterbottle/lunch. Then I've gotta lug around my gym stuff including weightlifting shoes and whatnot. I think a Filson black tincloth duffle might be a good partner to black lamb jackets if you need to carry a lot of crap. Obviously helmet bag could've been a thing but no need to dwell on what we can't have. Still wish I could maximize my dadcore with a well-worn VTG collared moto.

Nah, people think you're a bad boy when you wear a black TOJ. You wouldn't understand.
