If you don't want bitches to touch you, get calf or goat.

The MDR specifically refers to ToJ's Minimalist Double Rider. Many examples of which can be seen here. It has got nothing to do with riding bikes, it's just a style of jacket.

@cococard
, I own a black calf MDR, and would definitely recommend that choice over lamb (of which I own an MA-1 and a BCDR). In terms of my preference, I just feel the calf fits the style much better than lamb, it's sturdier, tougher, and feels like it drapes and molds to my body in a way that's nicer for this style of jacket than lamb does. Having said that, the lamb definitely does not need to be babied, it's fine for every-day wear.

No opinion on goat as I've not had a chance to see ToJ's goat first-hand.

I'm sorry, I'm not a guy, I thought it was a motorbike jacket rider he was looking for lol:)

I think brown goat on the bomber is a nice alternative to the lamb. But I've come to realize there's two variations of goat that TOJ carries. The grey is a lot more durable and thicker rougher feel, but still overall soft. But my Yellow Goat is actually super supple, equally supple as their lamb skin as well.

Regardless of what type of leather you get, I think you'll be very happy with the outcome.

Good luck with your choice!!!

I've had a goat jacket (but white so I sold it!), and is Is hardwearing, but not quite as much as calf:)

Are there any pics available of a bomber style jacket (A2, CWU, etc) made for a female?  My girlfriend is in the initial stages of considering a TOJ but is thinking of getting a bomber.  I looked through most of the gallery already but most pics I've seen of girls are varsity or rider style jackets.

Suddenly I want a TOJ 2013, but I'm not sure... Considering order one so it will arrive in fall. Btw my BCDR should arrive in the next few weeks. Super excited!

Hopefully my jacket arrives this week after that mixup with the delivery address 2 weeks ago :[

Whilst I sit here patiently waiting for Charly to reply to me re: changing to calf which then I'll ask to order a Lamb MA1, and Luxire to get back to me about ordering a Mackintosh, here's a pic of my in my TOJ0 and Gitman Vintage shirt.

I have a medium whiskey calf cm in the pipeline. So it's still out there. The bright whiskey is nice, too. I think it will mellow a bit.

IMO on the goat, lamb, calf question: Calf is the most casual, lamb the most "formal." I just like the way thick leather looks after lots of use, whether it's calf or horse. That said, a counterintuitive combination like a rider in lamb is awesome -- give off that louche "I could ride my Indian Super Chief in this lambskin jacket" vibe.
