The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 2474

It's really too cold for this shit but I can't keep myself from wearing this.

I've dropped the holiday weight and can at least layer a light sweater underneath now.

In other news my wife was asking about the cutoff date. Is the girlfriend A2 an option?

^@omgcookielol's gf wore his and it looked great.

I thiiiink Synthese ordered an A-2 for his girlfriend. Could be wrong. Would love to see how it looks!

I'm at 31 weeks. I've emailed Charly sparingly, and each time he's given me a new ship date that comes and goes. A week ago, he told me my jacket would ship in a week. Didn't happen. While TOJ is absolutely brilliant at marketing, design and craftsmanship, the operation is completely unprofessional in other ways. I know it's a small crew, but when someone takes $780 from you, it should entitle you to a somewhat accurate assessment of when you'll receive what you've paid for.

Sort of. I think the problem is that there IS no accurate assessment of when the jacket will be done purely by nature of the production cycle. So they give best guesses, and Charly's "20+ weeks" quote is I think evidence that they are moving away from providing definite numbers.

At any rate, I'm happy to deal with the uncertainty/surprise of when you are getting your jacket as long as it means there is no price increase for more accurate production/logistics/service any day.

so you're selling the one you like the most with black snaps? lol

They clearly don't understand the concept of UPOD.

You're cutting into Drews sales when you post in HIS thread about YOUR jacket being in the marketplace.

It's the ToJ thread. I think it's appropriate. Cutting into his sales? I bloody bought the jacket from Drew. He wouldn't have got this sale from me without this thread. Now i'm not supposed to mention it's way to small and up for grabs? Shall i talk in code?

Is there a separate ToJ thread where we talk about the jackets without having to mention it's for sale?

Don't be so pedantic.

Also, if it sells quicker, i may be able to get another order in before the cut off. It benefits everyone.

You're not allowed to advertise in any forum threads other than the marketplace... this rule is not unique to the ToJ thread.

Ok i take your point. Sorry Drew.
