I wouldn't mind if it took a year (and let's face it, sometimes Alden takes about that for one of their shoe makeups, and quality control isn't even comparable).

honestly, this is a little fanboyish. the wait time definitely matters.

I actually got upset reading the last two pages. It says something when Distorbiant is a voice of reason in this thread (cyc and brad-t, you've always been voices of reason).

Isn't the more rational conclusion simply that wait times matter more to some people and not so much to others?  It's just troll worthy to start throwing fanboy around for rationally subjective things like this.

Lol, in my mind I just want something close to Saint Laurents leathers and TOJ is a steal for how close it is so I'm okay waiting icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

yes it matters. 800 bucks is a lot for a jacket any way you cut it. 6 months is a long time to wait for anything imo.i understand there's no way around it, and the product is great but to wait so long is a downer for sure. I'm excited I will be receiving my jacket in the distant future. Just wish it was sooner even if it meant paying a lil extra.

Try waiting 3 years on an Alden rare shell pre-order. Sucks but if that is the most aggravating thing in your life, consider yourself lucky.

I have a feeling we'll be hitting some 7 month jackets. People are already inching past the 6th month mark.
Ouch. 7 months? I thought things were going to speed up if anything.

to order a shoe and wait 3 years for it is just plain stupidity. Anyone who's willing to wait that long for a piece of clothing is out of their minds.
Nobody here ever said waiting half a year for a jacket was the most aggravating thing in their life. It's just a small thing in the grand scheme of things. Unless I die within that time frame.

Maurissio, I guess if you have a single pair of shoes and are walking around barefoot it would be stupidity. Otherwise, I get what I want at 2010 prices whenever they show up. I have enough shoes to get by.

It's only because I remember when you were asking questions about which leather would be best to eat. You were a real troll for a long time.

6 month wait is fine as long as you are made aware of it when you order

And

This thread is full of viciously zealous fan boys

Y'all wonder why Drew is tired of this shit. Charly has the patience of a goddamn saint.

I just spent 5 minutes trying to find a youtube clip of that old rotisserie infomercial: SET IT, AND FORGET IT.

Are there any photos of the ToJ production room? Would be interested to see what it looks like.
