Too heavy for lamb I would think.

Someone in the thread has good results with saphir reno and maybe some black cream in the worst spots

What's an interesting TOJ 0 colorway that hasn't been tried yet?

Don't use any conditioner on your TOJ if it isn't black, especially Obenauf's! Stop molesting the jacket, let it be.

As long as we're on the topic of Obenauf's and ToJ: I decided my order for a minimalist double rider would be in whiskey lamb, but per Charly there's only a relatively bright shade of that. Is it a feasible idea to try darkening it a tad afterward with a coat or two of Obenauf's? Light coats, of course. Has anyone tried this on lamb or even calf?

Lexol is good for leather. If you have had it for a while, you should condition.... Can't fix cracks after they happen.

correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think black and yellow has been done yet and I think it'd look pretty sweet (although I wouldn't get it for myself).

To the OP, I think if you go to the TOJ Gallery, every possible combo has been done by now so you can check them out.  Grey body with black sleeves would be really cool though, and not a common make since most people opt for the all black.

I don't think anyone has posted a navy body/gray sleeves yet.

First off, I have to comment on the quality of the grey plastic bag my jacket came in. Paying the extra money for lining the bag with bemberg and unzipping with the YKK Excella zips was definitely worth it. After dropping $380 on the jacket, you don't wanna cheap out on the packaging.

Now on to the jacket.....I don't have much natural sunlight right now and it's hard to capture the colours with these energy saving bulbs. The colour combination came out better than I had imagine. For those that want a dark jacket but with a bit more contrast, I really recommend Navy/Grey instead of your Black/Black or Navy/Black.

The grey is a nice pewter colour, it actually matches my Hermes belt.

The melton wool is fantastic now, very light weight. Very breathable and it has this tightly woven texture when you look at it upclose.

This is probably the most accurate colour out of all the pictures.

The goat is very soft and I do like the pebble texture in small amounts, not in an entire jacket though. I find it shows imperfections a lot more easily than lamb. I have a few small bumps and they show a lot more than my A-2 Bomber in lamb.

I am 5'9, 150 lbs. as a reference. The Size 48 fits me pretty good.

I'll see if I can get better pictures in natural light when my GF swings by tomorrow.

My GF likes the TOJ1 2011 since I get two jackets for the price, even though she suspects I will rarely reverse it.

Blue lamb BCDR arrived today, took a quick crappy pic. It's nice. Sleeves are a tad short but it's OK

Sorry to say it grit, but that jacket style worn open makes you look very wide and stout

almost brand new and the left part of the body is pulling out because of him lifting his arm, pretty sure it'd look much better if he took a better pic (with a timer) :)

Really? Thought it looked good when I tried it, maybe a bad angle. And if not, good thing it looks good closed smile.gif

Definitely the right fit through the body though, any smaller and it would hug too tight

I'll try and get better pics sometime too
