Yes, I own these and they go great with everything basically

90% of the last 10 pages are people fawning over what week their order is on or their emails getting ignored because they're asking when their jacket will be done. TOJ won't steal your money, but they will get your jacket to you eventually. It's like your kids in the back seat repeatedly asking you "are we there yet". Charly must have the patience of a saint and Drew must be so ready to close down orders because of this.

That's not really the point though. When people shell out top dollar for an item, they should be kept in the loop with regards to any foreseeable or actual fluctuations in their order status. This is strictly out of fairness for the customer.

Also, when money/profit is involved, you'd be surprised just how much people are willing to put up with.

You guys all knew the deal (or should've known) when you signed up, there's no computer tracking the progress of every individual order or whatever, it's just workshops of people churning out jackets and one guy answering emails. I don't think you should necessarily feel bad about asking, but it should be assumed that any answer is really an educated estimation.

You're paying a non-premium price for a highly premium product; some concessions have to be made and this is one of them.

Just stop counting.

The thing is, this isn't top dollar for a leather jacket.  You save money and there is value created because they don't have a lot of expenses beside raw goods and labor.

AFAIK the guy answering your emails isn't full-time and has another job and he's probably in the US with the production being in Korea.

I think those chelseas look way too dressy to wear with jeans but what do I know.

I agree. They look dainty.

The price isn't a premium price for something comparable on the market, $900 for a TOJ vs say $3000 for a RO. The only way you're getting something of such high quality for such an affordable price is due to lack of overhead, promotion, labour etc etc. Just stop fretting about those extra weeks and wait for the surprise of an awesome leather arriving at your front door soon. I'm waiting for two jackets myself and I've stopped counting a long time ago and just forgot about it.

I miss the days when Drew would chime in about which jacket combo he prefers or updates us on exciting new product development or what leather he found would make x jacket so much better. Maybe letting this thread stay open was a mistake.

It's like people have not done preorders before and gotten a general ETA.

I think people are just excited, I know I am this is my third TOJ. Instead of emailing Charly they post here.

About the leather pulls, they don't have any on hand. I asked about them a while back.

Charly just emailed me, lead times are over 40 weeks, so just be patient and quit asking please.
