A nice pop to your jacket; I like the bright silver pop as a contrast against the darkness of the black bag & jacket.

BUT if you want a more "traditional" leather jacket look on a jacket, they might be too shiny for you. I opted for the normal silver zips for my girlfriend's 2010 GFDR because she said she wanted a classic looking jacket, and the bright bold silver of the excellas doesn't exactly scream traditional.

Are excella zips on the wool MA-1 standard or do they cost extra? if so, how much?

I wanna say someone mentioned wanting to upgrade to excella zips but Drew and Co. were out, a month or so ago.

What's the big deal about RiRi zips vs. stock YKK? Do they really look/handle that much different?

the stock YKK zips are beefy as hell.  i love them on my A2.  no reason to change them up in my opinion.

one nitpicky thing tho...the zipper is on the left side when i have the jacket on...all my other jackets the zipper is on the right.  why does TOJ switch sides like that?

I'm almost 100% positive that they're excellas. And I didn't order any upgrades for anything on that jacket, since (from what I remember) it comes with the upgraded bemberg lining and the excellas. But don't quote me on that.

Going to see if I can upgrade to Bemberg on my MinDR. Hope the Black Lamb looks as good as this!

Magic week 20 for me (black lamb A-2 with bemberg/excella) and week 19 for black lamb 4 zip Moto with bemberg/excella.

Also, how do you guys keep your wool clean, like the wool on my Varsity, or how do you guys clean your jackets ??

I sent my peacoat to the dry cleaners a couple times last season. The wool came back clean and great, and the leather looked fine too

Is there still plans for a winter capsule? I would love to snag a peacoat.

Excellas are only available on black leathers now.

What can we upgrade for the CWU? Just bemberg and excellas?

Also, I would get a peacoat in a heartbeat. The toj0's wool looks great.

cheers. i'll check in with charly to confirm. Now other than excellas operating more smoothly, are there any cosmetic differences between standard YKK silver VS excella zips? it sounds like excellas are more silver/shiner? it would be great to get some feedback on how they differ in looks.
