Of all the posts, THAT'S the one that makes you interested in Goat leather over lamb or calf? I gotta take a break...

Dbear posted a comparison between the three leathers not too long ago. Use the search option. It's handy.

I also don't see why that photo is making anyone want goat.

That photo could be captioned with any other leather and we'd probably believe it. I can see why that photo might make you want a rider, but not sure what it has to say about leather choice (since the photo has enough noise to hide the texture and is in a position where the leathers would look similar).

Awesome. Thank you for posting this. Would it be possible to get a better close-up picture? It looks basically identical to the brown lamb, maybe a touch lighter.

A dark brown goat MDR ordered in late June.
I think it should be longer by 1-2 inches and possibly longer sleeves? From this I'm going to base my 2010DR if I have the funds.
Opinions?

.

Length is fine on this, sleeves could be slightly longer but thats not a deal breaker at all. Looks good.

Just picked up my toj02013 from the post office.

I thought the goat was good--and it is--but the lamb is just on another level.

I think I'll leave my A2 for outdoorsy stuff and get a black lamb cwu.

All this time, I've been passing over the varsity jacket style. It never really caught my eye and I recognize it's just a fad that's come back strong lately ... but yours is what I consider a perfect fit. And it's making me want one.

Dammit.

How stupid an idea would it be to remove the lining from one of these jackets?

A) to make it less warm
B) to avoid the sweating caused by the synthetic lining
C) to feel the leather against your arms

Alternately, having a tailor replace it with cotton?

Sorry if this is dumb

Very dumb. Bemberg lines nice suits, not cotton.
