Does anyone think otherwise? I lean slightly towards channel quilt.

Get what you think looks the best, since it's your jacket.  For what it's worth, I agree with you that channel quilt looks better.

Different jackets, different batches. My A-2 arrived about three weeks ago and I ordered it on May 31st. You probably just ordered yours too late to be in that batch.

Any pictures of Black goat on a Moto floating around? Between Calf and Lamb pros and cons I am missing other than that calfskin costs more and is more durable and doesn't wrinkle as much as lamb?

While I think black goat would be a great choice, I am unconvinced lamb really wrinkles

I was under the impression calf is thinner and drapes showing wrinkles more. I've been looking at the collared moto myself and noticed the lamb doesn't hang as limply as the calf appears to.

Or am I wrong? I'm looking for a leather than doesn't wrinkle when hanging loosely.

Calf is definitely not thinner than lamb. Lamb would probably be the "thinnest" of the available leathers.

Lamb is the softest and drapes the best. It's not even close and I've owned/own tons of lamb/calf.

ToJ black lamb gets overlooked, but it's the house special for a reason.

My A2 I ordered around the beginning of June got here Thursday.

I only have a goat A2 and a calf moto. The calf is much more substantial than the goat. The goat is super soft. I'm still breaking in the calf.

I think this is wrong in every way it can be. Calf is not thinner, it's less pliable, it's water proof, it's got a sheen and it's heavy. Like, if too close a cut, uncomfortable to wear while driving a car because your arms are not straight down at your sides (note, only if sized too small). Calf doesn't really drape and doesn't really hug your body, in a good way. It holds its shape and won't drape into contours, like wearing lamb over a layered cardigan or something similar would.

Lamb is thin, doesn't have a lot of texture but then gets really grainy and wrinkly with age. Stacks on sleeves resemble raw denim stacks. It apparently soaks water, so don't wear it in rain trying to keep dry. With calf you can just shake it dry and it works for light rain perfectly.
