Yo,

Currently thinking of buying my first leather jacket... Do you guys think TOJ is worth the money for a first timer?
Also I want a biker jacket, but I am afraid that it will be a little too "bold" for me to wear. Thats why I'm considering suede (I DO love suede). Do you guys think I'm on the right track? What biker model would be the least... eh... ...flashy(?)? Sad to say, I am not one those guys who can wear whatever and think "whatever". Do think I will be comfortable in a biker jacket, because I do love the look of it.

Cheers

PS. As I've understood it, the time is ticking, therefore I could use some of your expertise! DS.

I almost regret buying an MDR because I can't really wear it into the office.

Almost.

Yes. Black leather MDR. Do it.

I think 2010 is really nice and works best for many body types, I think those that don't have one will say it looks too flashy because the buckle details but when you wear they're almost unnoticeable in the sense that they don't draw your eye in but are just simply great detail to it.

To anyone with some time to kill. A photoshop of the different colours for the T-1 would be awesome. Having a hard time picturing the muted sky blue, olive, and medium grey colours, for instance.

Well for med grey I'm pretty sure there are about 50 pictures in the T-1 gallery.

Agree completely. The 2010 just works with all the hardware. It's nowhere near as loud as a perfecto-style jacket.

You guys have weird ideas of what is more "flashy". It's not some crazy CCP fencing jacket. Nothing ToJ makes is terribly loud - even the uncontrol rider. I wore my AMDR to work from time to time. You'll be fine. If your idea of adventurous is browsing the Black Fleece section at Brooks Brothers, then maybe you'll need to pop a Xanax before trying on a rider. For everyone else, just order what you think looks nice - if it's something "bolder" like one of the quilted suede options, you can be happy knowing you got something that will be pretty tough to find at any price point anywhere else. Willy rocks his ToJ stuff without being particularly "aggressive", but then again he has Popeye's induced confidence to aid him.

Am I nuts for having two TOJ's on order and wanting a final piece?

Contemplating a dark brown goat A2 or moto, or a suede (not sure color-wise) T1.
