Arigold is old news. We want pictures of your oxblood.

Sorry if this is asked a lot, I searched it but all that came up were "lead times." How long are ship times (from tracking # to arrival?) usually?

It's shipped EMS or express mail service, so it's very fast.

The largest factor is how long it takes to clear customs for your country.

Ships EMS, so about 5 days, depending on your location. Maybe a bit more if customs needs to fondle it for a while.

But really, what does it matter when you've waited 3-6 months for it?

...because I waited 3-6 months for it

you will probably get the package before the tracking number if recent posts are any indication

A couple more pics of my A-2 here. Looking at these now, I can't believe I ever even slightly considered omitting the suede patch. Shearling collar looks like a beast of a thing too.

Leather looks nice. :nodding:

You can snap down the collar.

Nice jacket, although I personally am not a fan of the suede patch

@Dbear
Yeah of course. I don't think my dad is aware of that though! (It's him sending me photos.)

Anyone every had problems with Lexol? I never have, and it seems like the ideal product here (and is available by the gallon).

I did a search in this thread and saw lots of recommendations for Lexol on calf, and a few on lamb, but nothing about goat one way or anothing, but if no one thinks Lexol sounds crazy I can just go with that.

Thanks.

Did Drew/anyone ever expand on patch/no patch from the original design perspective? I went without, per Charly's recommendation.
It has never stood out as a integral detail to me either way.

btw, Colm that A2 looks like just straight luxurious caramel sex. I can imagine how perfectly snug and heavy that's going to feel when you slip it on. Good thing I ordered one too. biggrin.gif

I thought the without patch recommendation was tied to the leather choice - I think it was something like with patch if you're getting brown lamb, without for anything else.

AFAIK, one reason for the patch is that it visually breaks up the wall of leather on the chest area.

Also, I know they don't recommend a patch if you're getting goat.  The suede just doesn't look right ontop of the goat.

I went without the patch for my first brown lamb A2 a couple of years ago and have no regrets but my replacement that is due in a couple of weeks does have the patch so then I'll know what I've been missing. Definitely love the patch on my black CWU/45 but I think the A2 can actually do without, and is probably more versatile (and less casual?) without.

Is there any official stance on why the placket is shortened now?
