The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 2226

20 weeks goddam.

It is a long time ... but then I look at the gallery shots of the Women's BCDR and realise I would happily wait a year just to look at someone wearing that, let alone have it for myself. Anyway, we're moving to Spain for a while so it might be too hot for a leather jacket for most of the wait time.

Ha, I'd told her TOJ was shutting up shop in a month, and forgot to tell her about the fortnight's extension. She said to me last week "I have to admit, I was really considering getting one of those jackets ... I wish they were still taking orders". The look on her face when I told her they still were...

Not that surprising. I'm already on week 14 for my wool MA-1 and I'm sure leathers would take even longer. All part of the TOJ experience haha.

Hm, what was your original estimated lead time?

I ordered a wool MA-1 a little while ago and I was quoted at around 16 weeks for it.

Not every model is made in the same workshop. They are made in like-model batches. It's not a first in first out system.

I never asked about the lead time but I ordered pretty darn quick after the announcement that the shop would be closing...wonder how long it was then.

I asked for a longer lead time (0)

Also, Drew has been eerily silent recently...

Same. I just assumed the worst. Hoping for end of October more likely end of November.

She was quoted about 20 weeks for the lead time, if anyone's wondering. Meanwhile I'm hoping my A-2 will arrive sometime in August.  We promise to take cute TOJ-couple pics. tounge.gif

When did you order your A-2?

The 31st of May. I'm sure it'll be a bit more than the 12 weeks I was quoted, but hopefully not too much.

He's probably sitting back drinking and laughing about what a clusterfuck this thread has become since the end was announced.

The color of this T1 is Diesel Blue correct? Or Steel Blue?

Pretty sure that's Sherwood green -- someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is for sure diesel: http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=18267

Also, this TOJ roulette thing sounds awesome. Wish I had the funds to do it. IT would take out a lot of that painstaking worrying about what would look good, and it would also let Drew make his dream jackets that he had mentioned...someone should really do it.
