Yep, it really feels very different.

as i hear the lamb is buttery soft but thick and the cafl (which i own) is super thick and heavy
post #33348 of 41491

I may be mistaken, but I thought the calf and lamb were supposed to be roughly the same thickness (the calf just being denser).

YKK Excella upgrade in the 'flesh'

from facebook.

The lamb thickness is random, I've gotten super thin lamb in certain jackets and thick lamb on others

Thanks for the kind words everyone and thanks Risky for the help. I don't know much about the difference between lamb and calf, but from wearing my jacket I can tell you that it is definitely heavy and super dense. Every time I put it on, I feel as if I'm a samurai putting on his armor before a fight (which is how I intended it, hence the channel quilt)

i live in vancouver and during 3/4ths of the year it rains all the time-- how water resistant would the lamb be? i know lamb vs calf has been talked about a lot i'm sorry (i used the search bar).

i don't do anything crazy so i know it's not like i'll really need calf or something though

i'm in vancouver too and have been caught in the rain a few times. it'll be fine as long as you hang it to dry when you get home.

(My opinion Based off research over the Internet, So take my opinion How you wish to)
Calf is more water resistant then lamb naturally. But with proper care via water repellent sprays and/or leather cleaners and general care products, lamb should be fine.
If you know it rains a lot, either go with the calf and take care of it with products or go with the lamb and take care of it with products and avoid thunderstorm weathers and general long periods in rain.
A bit if rain isn't going to ruin the jacket but constant of anything will ruin..anything lol
I also read that light drizzle over time would make you lamb age quicker.. That being good or bad is a personal preference I guess.
