I don't think you guys understand how TOJ sizing works. If you can raise your arms, it's too loose. Always size as slim as possible. Always.

I think the measurements factor in the puffiness which makes the sizing seem deceivingly larger. I just hope it's not uncomfortable unzipped, I can live with it being a little tight zipped.

It's super puffy right now but I think it'll settle down a bit with wear. Materials are amazing. Very glad I went with a 46, it's slim, especially the arms. 44 would've been too tight.

Thanks guys!
SO FRESH
KILLING IT

I'm 5'6", 140lbs for reference. Usually somewhere in-between 44-46 depending on brands.

I like the whole look, congrats. Not to derail but what did you use to paint the MMM's?

^they're the rubberized ones, non-painted

Long time no post, I took some quick horrible phone pics to display the evolution of the jacket (VTG MDR), I think it has been around 2 and a half years now.
I love this jacket but the stitching is coming undone in the arm pits, it's just not quite strong enough for the hefty leather.... frown.gif

Find more pics and the damaged stitching in the spoiler. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Schott NYC's leather MA-1 looks very similar to the Charly special MA-1. Dying to get my leather MA-1, in the meantime, do the guys who own one want to show some more pics? Definitely not enough pics of the leather MA-1 in the gallery. I'd love to see one out in the wild, not just shots taken in the bathroom.

Dellath, that is awesome. That patina reaffirms me to wear my jacket more when I can. Beautiful progress.

Probably a cheap repair, that stitching, btw. If it were happening to mine, I'd probably go at it as a diy job.

You and bows both look so good in these jackets that you shouldn't be ashamed to ever be caught wearing them in the same place at the same time. redface.gif

I'm sure it'll happen...

Artishard, what shoes are you wearing in the pictures? I dig them.

rubberized margielas

Fuck. I was content to bid TOJ quietly adieu, but that artishard fit is making me seriously reconsider copping a wool MA-1.

if you haven't done so already, enlarge that texture shot... it really is on another level.
