Oh man.
Post guy just knocked on my front door holding a huge grey package. Hadn't got tracking for the Daypack but instantly knew that was it.

It is a very nice backpack. I've been using a olive suede backpack from Eastpak for the last year but it obv can't compete with the TOJ. The texture and thickness of the suede stands out and is a lot better than on my other bag. Hardware is sturdy and pops nicely against the black. The leather bottom is a great addition as my Eastpak, which is suede all over, is starting to get dirty and discolored down there. The TOJ is a bit bigger than the other bag, but that is not a bad thing.

One question: is it safe to spray the suede with a water repelling treatment, or would it possibly hurt the material?

I've asked this a few times in the past with no answer; which protectant do you plan to use?

I dunno what you guys use, but I've been spraying the shit out of my suede stuff with the nano protectors.  we'll see how they hold up

Actually I'm wondering if Drew can provide a good Gamjatang soup base recipe.

the secret to making any good soup base is kept a secret for a reason.

I have not used on my T3 yet but always spray my suede shoes - the advice I have received is to find a spray with no silicon.

a local cobbler has recommended me Cadillac Shield spray for waterproofing suede shoes in the past.  i've used it without issues.  he said it's safe to use on leather jackets also...

I have used the non-silicon stuff on my good suede shoes for years with no side effects. I do re-apply each year though. No permanent stains yet (though I probably just jinxed it)

Any pics of the A-2 with a ribbed collar? Would dark brown goat w/ ribbed collar work?

Checked the gallery and couldn't come up with anything.

AFAIK, ribbed collar is not an option on the A2.

Few months? Damn you're optimistic.
