That T3 makes me really want to get a T1. I really shouldn't, but honestly they have been growing on me so much.

Where else would you get a suede T-1 after TOJ's gone? Order two.

Yeah I've been contemplating the T-1 also but I'm stretched pretty thin

Ok some first impressions with the daypack.

1.  It's heavier than I expected.  Well maybe heavier isn't exactly the right thought, as I don't think it'll be annoying to wear around for extended periods of time, but when holding it at first, both my friend and I commented on the heft.  The suede is thicker and sturdier than I was expecting, and the leather on the bottom is really nice.

2.  It's also bigger than I expected.  It can easily fit my computer (15" MBP), a book, a magazine/notebook, with plenty of room for other stuff.  It's not something you would take on a camping trip or anything, but it's pretty roomy.  I don't think I would every carry my computer around just because it's too heavy, but if I had something light like a netbook or macbook air, I probably would.

I haven't really gotten a chance to use it though, and since it's supposed to rain for the next few days I doubt I will.  I also only have one mirror in my apartment and that's in the bathroom, so no pics of the bag on a human yet.  Final verdict will require a few days to try it out, but I'm really impressed with it thus far.

I think this wouldn't be a great idea, it's important to balance out the visual weight of the passants and the belt ...

you must learn to bear the weight for ze fashunz.

Nicest color for the T-1? I'm thinking something grey/green/earth-tone but not too dark. What would you recommend?

Seeing as you asked so nicely...

It's the same as Synthese's, by the way, which is well (better) presented in the TOJ gallery.

Look up ^ That's medium grey, a very versatile earth tone that takes on various hues in different lights.

Yeah, I was going to say -- the medium grey that synth has, and I didn't realize jabberwock had, would be my color of choice. I like how it's a chameleon of color in its photos.

Diesel Blue T3 arrived. Love it. I opted for Bemberg lining on this one having had the standard cotton lining on my medium grey T1 which I have found to be just a little too abrasive i.e. when you put it on it snags and pulls whatever you're wearing underneath. However, I think it may be smoothing out with wear. Aaaanyway, the Bemberg in this T3 completely solves that issue and slides on so, so easily. It also makes the jacket noticeably more lightweight. I could wear this on a hot/warm day but my T1 is much more spring than summer. Kicking myself for forgetting to add the extra .5" to the sleeves which I had for my perfectly sized T1...oh well, not a huge issue.

Excuse the iphone mirror pics. No way am I asking my wife to take pictures of me so I can show people on an internet forum.

and one in TOJ standard under-uniform for maximum neutrality
