the fit on that moto looks ok to me

Was measured up by a tailor a little over a year ago, but should still be relatively the same, since my first TOJ still fits well.

Shoulders 15.5"
Chest 39"
Waist 35"
Sleeve 25"
Bicep 14"

Shoulders are definitely wrong, likely 17 or 17.5

Yeah looking at old emails with Charly suggested a 17.5". But it looks like I sent some measurements of another jacket and we agreed to make it 18".

I assumed the best things to compare are my moto sizes;

shoulders
18.0
chest (p2p)
21.4
midsection
18.6
waist
19.0
body length, front
22.2
body length, back
24.4
sleeve length, from shoulder
24
sleeve width @ pit
7.5
sleeve width @ elbow
6.3
sleeve width @ cuff
5.3

and the A2 that I'm looking to get;

Shoulders: 18.5"

Sleeve: 26.5"

Pit to Pit: 22"

Waist: 19.75"

Front Length: 23"

Back Length: 25"

Width @pit: 7.25"

Width @elbow: 6.25"

Width @cuff: 5.25"

Is there anything that's clearly off that should stop me from buying it?

Whether it be a CWU or something else, you need a full TOJ leather.

Yes, it is OK.

Get a DR of some sort if it's your style

Black unglazed goat mdr a good idea? Or stick with the dark brown?

Lamb or calf, you might regret the goat because of its texture

Either choice would be awesome for the MDR really, I think the pebbled texture contrasts beautifully with the DR styles in particular. Like I said, both would look great, but the dark brown goat is a favorite.

or if you don't believe me...

There are certain 'specials' now and then that come along as a result of the right meeting of design and material, and a 4-zip MDR in the super dark brown goat with brown-taped YKK's in silver is another one of them. We make a lot of nice stuff, but there's the few things that are just exceedingly NICE, like that whiskey 2010 DR we made for aeglus. I got to see that thing in person and it was pretty amazing. Blows up my ego to see stuff like that.

What I want to see is that dark brown goatskin 4-zip MDR with some age, maybe 3 months or more on it. It will look godly. Anybody who has to go back to college this coming fall should get one now so that it's perfectly worn-in by the time school starts, so you can style on campus plebes. redface.gif Fuck, I wish I could be in college again... I'd leave a trail of styleless victims...

I retract my statement

Has anyone gotten all black and regretted it/loved it, and are there any reasons I might be overlooking which I should be avoiding? I've heard that most people that are unsure of Charly's suggestions are ultimately glad they took them but I'm just worried I would like black on black more. I'm a fit male with a light tan complexion if that matters.
All of my jackets (including my mdr) are blacked out. They look great on me, and I would not ask for them in any other color/hardware combo... but black is the only color I wear, and I'm pretty comfortable with that.satisfied.gif I usually don't like outfits that include a murdered out jacket with the usual boring SF fits - raw jeans, etc. If you're the type of person who embraces SF uniform, imo buy a brown A2 and call it a day. The details on a jacket like that are subtle, so contrast will naturally drag the persons eyes away. Get silver if you wanna do the whole white tee and jeans thing.

They're not for everyone, but if you can make them work, they look fucking amazing.

need convincing on whether to go with diamond or channel quilt on bcdr. right now drew's wishlist + lack of guy's diamond quilt pics is making me lean twds channel.

Diamond for sure.

I went with channel, but would still love to see the diamond, not sure anybody has actually ordered diamond yet...

Tentatively decided on a electric QDR and a navy/sand TOJ0 for one final order, will have one TOJ for each day of the week!
