the daypack had more interest shown than the helmet bag, so Drew went through and produced the daypack and said he might produce the helmet bag later if there is more interest.

(correct me if I'm wrong here)

They look similar but 2 months for a big company to steal a design and fix evreything neceassary for a production/distrubution would be pushing it unless they had a run of ma1 lined up but changed the design at the last moment.

Really like the jacket and with your shorter lead times iam thinking about getting one or the comming anniversary jacket.

Same, starting to get cabin fever. Spring is properly rolling in now, time to ditch the winter coat and put some leather on.

It's been around high60s-70 degrees in NYC and def not able to wear any of my lambskin jackets. #sweatycrew out here :(

Should've copped the wool MA-1 so I could rock TOJ all year round.

hasn't stopped me...

I just sweat way too much/easily... it's not cute.

MA-1 looks legit good.  So many nice details on it and so clean.

Let us in on any peacoat deets...although I'm inclined to think we won't hear anything for a few months...

...also, saw a picture of some leather weekender/carry-alls next to the helmet bag...are those also TOJ/JC?  They look ridic nice...!! bounce2.gif

1. this is the toj thread, not the slp thread.
2. don't ask inane, non-toj questions just because he's knowledgeable about the subject.
3. if #1 fails to register, see #2.
4. if #2 fails to register, see #1.
5. repeat #3 and #4 until satisfied.

I don't think it's entirely unrelated as many people probably wonder what creates the discrepancy in prices between designer leathers and TOJ when the quality is (possibly?) comparable.

overhead, branding, retail pricing. he went over all this shit a long time ago too. but honestly, this isn't the thread to ask those questions.

TOJ is able to produce a quality product at a low price because it can sell volume with almost no fixed amount of overhead (rent, retail space, payroll) and advertising/marketing.
