if you work in any creative field (i'm including tech) you can generally wear what you want. jobs with casual dress codes aren't unicorns.

why is this discussion happening here

any job/industry that is not caught up in the standard big-company corporate cubicle-life culture might let you wear toj type stuff. there's a lot of possibilities.

Depends on how hard you roll as a student I guess. I think as you get higher up in the years, you stop carrying the texts to class, right? lol. If i were a student in 2013, i'd probably iPad photo the day's lecture texts and just carry my iPad, a Macbook Air, and a small notebook and pen case around. Would make reading text materials much easier in those in-between times, like riding shuttle buses or just walking down the street. I'd probably even do it on an iPad mini so I could one-hand it.

Huge out of print engineering text books aren't making e-book appearances anytime soon. foo.gif It would've made my life a lot easier. Then again, so would picking a different major.

I think he meant snapping a pic of textbook pages with his tablet lol.
I get away with carrying my tablet, comp books, lab manuals, and goggles because of ebooks and a decent tablet camera.

yea. Would've just snapped text pages each day with my tablet. Sacrifice the 2 minutes of photographing, for a full day of steez.

I know lamb is less renewable then calf but is there anything I can put on my black CWU to bring back its black shine/stiffness? It still looks great but the color has dulled and its become floppy and limp since getting wet. Entirely my fault and I know some people prefer more drapey dull lamb but would be great if there's a conditioner out there that can stiffen / shine things up.

I work in tech too and it helped me get a couple TOJs. I wish I could get more but my stupid mortgage is preventing that. frown.gif

Looks like there's quite a bit of people in the Bay Area. Anyone from the San Jose area?

Lanolin should do the trick I imagine, as that is what was removed when it got wet.
