Thinking about getting an mdr for next fall/winter. How warm is it? Is it lined? I'm in NYC, and I'd like to be able to get by in it for at least some of the winter, with a bit of layering.

not very warm

Always trust Charly.

Had the red calf DR for about a year now. It's starting to feel a lot more pliable, and just generally more comfortable to wear. Started to wear it with APCs, white tees and chucks, and I think that's probably better than how I usually wear it (as in this photo) with loads of black. Just looking forward to some slightly warmer weather - it's still too cold here to wear it without a knit underneath.

I know I'm going to cop a lot of flack for posting this fit, but I just also wanted show how my calf DR is wearing in (occasional wear since October), it's significantly softer now, creases are setting in well.

I wear my Lamb MDR all winter, usually with a chunky cardigan underneath. Just depends on how you size it and what you can fit under it.

Just got my Fishtail! Sizing up to a large may have been a bad idea though... shog[1].gif

Would going from 7.3" to 7" be a little too tight?
I would like to be able to raise my arms somewhat without the jacket riding up.

I ordered it in 7" but that was prior to working out. Biceps back then were 13' and are now at 13.5ish'. Will probably be a bit too small bit then again, it's probably too late to change. I'm getting my jacket this month so if you want to wait prior to ordering... I can let you know how it fits.

Back on topic: Do you guys think its a bit repetitive to get a black calf moto if I already have a black lamb MDR (and black peacoat)? I'm not sure if I can rock some of the other colours....

Was also surprised at how big it was when I got mine (that's what she said hahahahahhahahahahahhaha). Like the largeness now, and if you expect it to fit slim/tight you might have expected the wrong thing in my opinion.

I'm at work right now but I wore it out here since for some reason I woke up to -8C and windy as fuck in Ottawa today. I can see what people mean when they say its warm. It's functionally warmer than I imagine the old Margiela Duvet to have been. You could definitely lose me in a room if I sat down with the hood on, though.
