are we really still talking about wrist measurements? unless you have some bizarro arms like Popeye, getting the correct bicep and elbow numbers will give you (or Charly) a good idea of the wrist cuff thats appropriate for you

wouldnt the measurement of the jacket at the cuff and my wrist measurement determine how it will fit at the *cuff?

I would have thought it'd be interesting discussion from the perspective of working out how brands determine their house sizing.

discuss sizing and the fit you want with charly and crew over emails. nobody else knows the product/sizing process better than the dudes at ToJ.

there have been discussions about the toj sizing formula in the past. i think that people took that too seriously and got confused in the end. so just take good measurements and have a talk with charly rather than trying to figure it out on your own.

That's not really what I'm talking about. What I mean is how have the MTM orders affected the house sizing, if at all. Do the ToJ guys keep tabs on what's more common in their particular demographic or do they just decide sizes based on what they find more aesthetically pleasing? This kind of info will be useful when they fully transition into JC.

Samples are based on Drew. He's always said a majority of people don't even need MTM - therefore, I think he's figured out standard sizes he's happy with.

Regarding armhole size and mobility/comfort:

What sizes have you guys gone with for the sleeve width at the pit?

I'm thinking of ordering mine to 7", but wanted to see if anyone of my build has done that.

My body measurements:

6'3", 170 lbs

Shoulder  17"
Chest   39"

Mid   31 1/2"
Waist   32 1/2"
Front length   22"
Sleeve length   27 3/4"
Bicep   13 1/4"

Charly's recommendation:

shoulders 17.5"
chest (pit-to-pit) 21.1"
midsection 18.5"
waist 19.0"
body length, front 21.5"
body length, back 23.7"
sleeve length, from shoulder 26.5"
sleeve width @ pit 7.3"
sleeve width @ elbow 6.3"
sleeve width @ cuff 5.0"

I'm going for a fitted look like these

http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7969&g2_serialNumber=1
http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7971&g2_serialNumber=3
http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=15203&g2_serialNumber=2

Would going from 7.3" to 7" be a little too tight?

I would like to be able to raise my arms somewhat without the jacket riding up.

Why are you trying to change what charly suggested? You will get a "fitted look" stop being so goddamn neurotic, its clothes. Bring on the stock sizes. Charly idk how you deal with this shit man.

In my opinion, do not go down from 7.3".
