I ordered my sister the prototype diamond quilt band collar rider for her birthday present. She took measurements carefully and I sent them to Charly who did his magic. Went spot on with his suggestion.

She just got it but the text messages I've received so far include:

"Oh my got it's amazing!!!! Fits perfect!" &

"It's so beautiful. I can't get over it"

Keep it simple everyone: Pick a style. Pick a color/material. Don't deviate crazily from Drew's vision with modifications. Take careful measurements. Send them to Charly and trust him entirely. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif.

VLSI, you should find a better way to hide your face. Can't even see how top of shoulders fit. Looks comfortable though.

ps, fishtail always feels good.

It's because of how camera was positioned, not because I cropped the photo. Didn't notice until too late confused.gif

Looked through the old posts, didn't see any explicit preference for the diamond quilt, think channel might be a little more masculine...

I get to see a different side of all of the production than you guys see on Styleforum; there are a lot of jackets that never make it back to the internet for fit pics once shipped, most are the same thing you've seen, but one out of a dozen or two dozen is sometimes something different and it doesn't always get seen again. We see anywhere from a dozen to three or four dozen jackets a week, all each unique in size/makeup, at that point it's very easy to see what is 'good' and then less than good in terms of the toggling of options. This is why I said a 'goat quilted 4-zip Moto' would be too salad bar for my tastes, whereas a dark green double-needle quilt BCDR would be nice - I can visualize it, not sure if everyone else can - here you have two theoretical makeups that have a number of complications from the stock black lamb pics you've seen; the former, I feel, is probably one deviation too much (quilting; goat would be okay, Moto as 4-zip is great as a base, it just doesn't need the quilt) - and then the latter is just right to me, it moves the design further along, is admittedly a little loosened up conceptually, but would provide a great visual mix that isn't off.

Like I said, if the exact image doesn't come straight to you in full, you can ask me what I think. I've seen thousands of these things and know what the colors/materials/material weights are, and can visualize it in my head instantly.

blaz3n, head their advice. That's a 52 in the picture, and trust that my back and chest look nothing like yours. You may be better off with the MTM jackets than trying to stuff yourself into one of these.

Great fit. What's your shoulder sizing anyways?

17.5ish, narrow shoulders. There's room for someone with bigger shoulders though, raglan is forgiving.

Not really my style anymore, but yes, that cyc wid it is pretty nice.

Perhaps some hi-tops would be my personal choice
