Those are the same shoulder and chest measurements I gave for my jacket

3,5 inch difference in shoulder width and chest width here as well, so you might very well have measured it correctly. A smaller difference is probably more common though.. so to be as sure as possible, you might want to double check those two measurements.

Depending on how you measure, I could see this (larger than 3.5 difference) as very plausible among lifters. It is relatively easy to up your chest measurement, but difficult to increase shoulders, if at all.

I have a lifter friend who has a 46" chest, but his shoulder measure is narrower than mine at ~19.5". I will say they are certainly thicker though.

I would be willing to bet Charly, for example, has a larger gap between shoulder and chest measure.

If I get the sleeve length a bit too long on my TOJ1 2011, is it possible to take it to a tailor and get it shortened an inch or two?

So when does the sizing chart on the wool MA-1 come out?

I paid already and gave my measurements. It's my first time ordering from TOJ though so I'm not sure about the procedure... Do I just have to wait now? Or is there supposed to be some kind of dialogue about the measurements?

Just hang tight. They haven't finalized the sizing chart yet. Once its done they'll let you know and you can order the correct size. Putting down the money right now is basically guaranteeing your place in line. So if 50 people order once the chart is out, you'll be ahead of all of them. What color did you get?

Black wool, not very original haha. Was hoping for black zips but I don't think they're available, it's just a tiny detail though.

Might have to join the queue.

Peacoat arrived just in time for the snow. Blown away - great cut, fit is bang on. I don't find the sleeves too roomy either, I think they really suit the shape of the jacket.

I'm not very familiar with how the physical construction on leather jackets work, but I'm curious how quilting works. Are the quilted sleeves/shoulders separate pieces inserted onto the jacket, or built in from the ground up?
