The practical upshot of all leather soaking / washing discussion in this thread and the previous one is that if you want to take a shot at it for the purposes of messing with the texture and appearance of your jacket, that's up to you, but it is not advisable to try to use soaking washing to alleviate sizing issues, even minor ones.

Yea, can button it up but the shoulders ride up too much and it looks shit. I prefer it open anyway. I think it may be because its slightly too small in the chest


I do want to keep it just wasn't sure whether it looked right. Once its been worn a few times and its broken in a bit better, I'll probably feel different.

Is the bright red really bright red in person? Looks just normal blood red in the pictures of the swatches drew posted. I really want burgundy but Im not even sure that will ever be an option and im impatient. Drew is the bright red the same as aeglus' red dr? Any updates on burgundy?

Wood, could you post a pic of this burgundy that you can't seem to find here? It seems like it's this color in between eternaldrake's FQHH DR and true red.

If you get the band collar moto with the updated 2011 cuffs/waist. do you still get the breast pocket zippers? Can you choose to have the band collar without the breast zips (just like the collared moto)

as you can see its true burgundy, not brown with a little red in it like the fqhh. True bright red is just too Michael Jacksonish and I don't need another brown leather. I want burgundy, or dark red.
Also this is lamb and thus I can do the new styles in it, the fqhh isn't available for the new styles.

Have you taken any fit pics with the bcdr yet? Eager to see how it drapes unzipped. Also, no answer on the quilting option on the bcdr? *fingers crossed* haha. EDIT: actually, went back and looked at the shoulders on the bcdr and realized it wouldn't really work very well. Now just waiting for pics of the diamond quilting before making a decision I guess.

I wouldnt hold my breath, I've never seen any unzipped pics of the past bcdr, and I doubt we'll get any of this one. My intuition is that it doesn't look the best unzipped, so it wouldn't be great marketing to post a bunch of pics of it like that.

I can see that being a reason not to photograph it completely unzipped on a hanger, since it would just flop out bizarrely, but I don't doubt it still looks good unzipped. I think the older jackets just had a general lack of fit pics often because the ToJ following was still growing. Look at the old harrington pics, for example. No fit pic of the jacket unzipped, but it's not like it was because he was trying to hide the ugly shape it took when unzipped. Having already handled both the 2010 DR and duffel, I'm a believer in Drew's visions, heh.
