I suspect you said it in your first line, the shearling that is up to par is not cheap
post #25937 of 45104
i cant remember much of the woodyear saga but its a really expensive material. apparently, most of what we see, even in designer brands, is not shearling but wool glued/stitched on suede.

could be wrong..

Does anyone else like the idea of a moleskin chesterfield?

Moleskin overcoat feels odd to me

Clearly I don't have a good sense of how shearling works, but is it just a question of the raw cost of skins? Something else?

Start here and keep on going until the Woodyear saga.

[edit]

anyways, probably sick of my fucken fits, but i managed to lose 8lbs in the past 2 weeks. Almost have 4 pack now (yes i can lose and gain weight almost at will - i was a collegiate level athlete with a 40" vertical leap).

My Navy Calf MDR fits so much better and its also stretched bit given that i wore some thick sweaters underneath. Yes Calf does stretch! The navy is amazing. Will get better with age.

Cheers cunts!

TOJ is great for the price point and I'm now considering buying a A2 Bomber with a slight bit more room which probably goes well with the style., which works out well since I'm travelling now and will come in time for the Australian Winter.

The question is, i think a brown A2 looks best, so what is the best quality med/dark brown leather? Can i do Calf on this?

That looks nice. Do the sleeves seem a tad short? I know Drew always says that there's .5" to be had if you tug them since it's made inside out though. Also, do you not have a double zip?

40" vert ffffuuuu.gif... got any tips? I need to add like 5" to dunk frown.gif.

Don't think you can do calf on bomber, only lamb/goat. Also, curious as to what watch you're wearing?

I think the best way to get a shearling made is to reverse Drew's mind on the morality of child labor. It's better than begging on the street right??? That shit is dangerous. You're really just doing them a favor.
