The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 1713

That grey 2010 DR is stunning! To me, the fit looks to be pretty spot on. Hard to tell from those pics if the sleeves are too long, but then again, I'd prefer a bit long sleeves for any DR. It's a good thing that there isn't any grey leathers available at the moment.. I'd be too tempted.

Blahhhh I regret my first TOJ too often when I view this thread. I opted for a grey 4 Zip MDR but your 2010 looks sick, Brothersport. I still think I should've gone black lamb as recommended for the entry level, though... Only solution is to buy more! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

what's the status on the oxfords?

^They've been available for order for a while

Got my whiskey lamb MDR two days ago and I haven't been able to take it off since I opened the package. The fit is perfect (thanks charly). In the two days I've worn it, I've gotten 5 compliments from strangers and I literally had to swat one of my friends away who kept touching it because of how soft it is. Thank you TOJ!

POST A PICTURE

^ I'll post a fit pic in the next few days or so. I don't have a decent camera and the whiskey color is so good that it deserves decent photography before being posted on the internet. I'm gonna wait 'til I can get my gf to take a good pic with her camera.

Made another women's jacket, same basis as the BCDR but reconfigured to have DR lapels. Also experimented with a different quilt style. Once again, I think it's hard to judge it unworn, as we're used to seeing the proportions of a men's jacket and this is something different - just like the BCDR it begs to be worn before being fully understood.

That said, we have a men's BCDR that I'm trying to take pics of, but it looks like the women's BCDR in reverse. Men's sample is coming without quilt, but what we'll do is this - offer diamond quilt, channel quilt (as below) and unquilted for the men's. For women's I think we'll offer the same options. As of now, we're still TOJ, and able to offer options like that in the build to order process. Later, as we ramp production up and start discarding a lot of the overlap needs for MTM, we'll not be able to offer so many permutations to-order.

Without further ado;

previously, the matching women's BCDR for reference (small diamond quilt; men's would be about double the size for a larger quilted look)

Wow...great work Drew. Just when I thought I was almost done buying leathers

Drew, is there quilting on the sleeves as well? Or just the shoulders?

Dang can't wait to see the BCDR

Not sure if I should ask now, or wait for sample pics, but...

Will the BCDR have something similar to the grill/vertical sloping channel quilting on the upper back like the old quilted BCDR did?
Will the men's BCDR have the straps at the bottom that the female BCDR has?
Will the men's BCDR have quilting on the inside or outside of the forearm, as well as the upper arm?
Will the convertible cuff be a feature on the BCDRs?

The backs of all these jackets looks essentially the same.
