Double rider Vest+1

+1 to gloves, natural complement to the leathers

I'm about to purchase a black lambskin MDR. It will be my first leather jacket - do you guys recommend using a leather conditioner over time? Something like Obenauf's LP.

Thanks.

Only if the jacket looks like it needs it...

Um...not obenaufs. You can apply lanolin to it as needed, but that's about all you need.

We just let them die for that reason alone. When I go meet up with TOJ dudes, a surprising number of them have TOJ wallets though, and they're always keen to show me the evo on them, haha. It's great, I never expected that response.

also, another vote for a chesterfield/overcoat and bags

Plus, wasn't the wallet guy a bit of a pain to work with?

i assume gloves might suffer from the same margin problems as wallets, but still would be pretty cool I bet!

Did TOJ ever sell leather MA-1s?

Do want

Sleeve length says Rick Owens to me (not 100% sure though). Saw the RO in person, was rather nice, cool concept, good execution. Especially compared to some really sub-par feeling RO jackets released those past couple of seasons.

No, that's Toj, indeed. And it's great. I think it was a one-off. Would be nice to see it come back, as it's amazing.

Yeah, no. Obenauf's LP is too heavy for lamb. Lexol, lanolin, or conditioner only.

grey leather ma-1 yes plz

I just did my second coat of lexol on my whiskey calf and it still feels a little dry.confused.gif  I was thinking of using Obenaufs for the next round.  Didnt someone earlier in the thread use obenaufs with success?

What designer did the MA-1 first? US Airforce?
