The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 1697

I wear my 1000 miles with my A2 all the time. I don't think they are too dressy at all... The beauty of the A2 (and others would argue all of the TOJ line) is that they are so versatile and can be worn with a lot of different pieces...

Anyway, pics of my WV (yeah... same pants and shoes... shog[1].gif)

^ it won't. That wait time is an anomaly exclusive to us last minute cutoff orderers.

So, not to spam the forum, but I got tracking for my CWU that I ordered sept 9. I'm also very excited. I have a leather boner.

damnit, still no tracking for peacoat from cutoff. Ah well its a good thing, or else I'd be so distracted from studying for my finals... constantly checking the tracking page LOL

Haha biggrin.gif It is such a good thing as I already am so distracted from studying for other reasons. One more distraction will only cost me all my hard work from the semester :P Hopefully I get it next week when I'm done all exams biggrin.gif

ALAS!!!!

Nearly 22 weeks later I finally got my jacket..

Murdered out 4 Zip Moto in Black Lamb....

After wearing it for an hour...... First impressions....  material... beautiful...buttery soft..

construction.. .flawless....

Fit... couple things...

Definitely tight in the pits.... not unbearable....but it definitely pulls...don't know if I could get on anymore than a t-shirt underneath...  and don't know if that is gonna stress the area excessively...

Everything else seems right..  when I zip it up fully it there is some kind balloon effect going on in the gut/chest... sitting down zipped up is out of the question...

Never had a high quality leather so I'm ignorant to how it'll break in/age...

Thoughts?

700

As long as I can lift a can of beer to my mouth I should be alright....

Shoes for the A2 discussion:

I think the 1000 Mile would be great with the A2. I've got some Alden Roys that go real well w/ my brown bomber.

The A2 also works nicely with, in my experience through a few years of shoe choices/price levels here, Clark dbs, brogue boots (sorry drew), derbys--did you see that fit a few pages back w/ the two guys, one in #8 derbys?--and various sneakers. If I had a black A2, I'd wear black derbys a lot.

edit: oh yeah, and my bomber has a similar wrinkle in the back, but it never occurred to me to be bothered by it.

Just let your jacket settle.
