The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 1643

Showed it to a friend at school. She said she would love to wear it and would be even more interested in a blacked out version.

Are there major changes planned when TOJ turns to JC?

I've looked through the passed 10-20 pages of this thread and can't find much that's definitive.

I'd like to order a jacket, but its summer here so I was going to hold off a few months, but if things are changing......

Sorry for being woefully under-informed.

I'd buy now so that your jacket arrives just as it begins to cool down, and so that you can beat the rush of orders that'll inevitably happen before they do a final cut-off for TOJ or whatever.

No MTM. Some models will be gone.

Thanks guys, it's a bit to ponder. I know leather jackets get expensive, but dropping some coin on the first one is a bit weird - will deliberate.

Would they still be making the minimalist DR, or is that a mystery?

^ Placed an order for a MDR ~ month ago.  An idea of never having the opportunity to get one in future was just unbearable. Last cut off was enough for me, I beat my self for not ordering then for rest of the summer. I admit that it's not that easy to place the first order, especially if you are trying to get in a better shape at the same time, but on the other hand I feel that, many of the TOJ / John Coppidge jackets are just something you can't replace with anything else. Even if I had some doubts, I find it hard to believe that I'd ever regret placing the order as much as I already did regret for not placing an order when I had the chance. Really glad that we got the second chance before all the new stuff.

I think drew so far has been quite courteous with the information he's given but it's bad business to discuss those kind of things in such detail, hence the vagueness.

It's about a fourth of the price of any decent designer leather?

I don't want to step out of line here with this assumption but i think it's safe to say the mdr 3/4 zip is going to make it through the Coppidge transition considering its overwhelming popularity.

Oh, I'm not trying to play hard to get - I'm not decided on what will happen next. It only depends on my mood and what I feel like making. I only make the things I feel confident about making and selling for satisfaction, so i don't want to commit to anything from the past if it's about the future.
