That's really cool. Not sure about my personal preference on the quilted portions, perhaps too far down the arms? Is that more cropped than a standard jacket?

It reminds me a lot of this balenciaga jacket as well.

-_- That reply sounded like it was meant for the 'best leather jackets you've seen/owned' thread in its current standing.

Pretty sure that's a woman's jacket. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nylon is fairly cheap (all manmade stuff is cheap unless it's proprietary and gouged like Gore stuff, et al), and a) I love natural fibers, b) there's only so far one can get with any given material before you start wanting for something nicer, c) I wanted to interpret the look/slight sheen of a Dupont'ish medium denier nylon in something much nicer, my prerogative in all of these things; and then d) I just liked the idea of that micro herringbone to make you do the double take on the cloth. One of the reasons I'm sure that most others don't come out with something like this, is because the fabric is really expensive. We have as much in this as a normal tailored suit jacket of good quality.

Maybe these are dumb questions, but will it come in other colors? And is it waterproof?

Part of me wishes that chest pocket wasn't there shog[1].gif but maybe that would make the top block look a bit empty. ^ I don't think it's possible to waterproof suiting wool unless you coated it in wax or something.

yes, and no, not waterproof. It's suiting wool, so you'd need to wipe it down with a hanky if you get a bit of rain on you.

I thought about it but in the end, just wanted to top it off with something like the usual gas mask flap; that pocket is designed to fit your cell phone, and slants down slightly on the inside so that it stays kinda nestled in there and you can feed your headphone cords out of it, so that is a plus.
