So you mean American cut like Brooks Brothers traditional fit? Cause by forum standards no way you could be a standard medium

I was first considering a 50 until I asked Charly what size equaled a large and he 52.

What size = large?

Hey,
The TOJ1's run about a size small so a 52 equals about a large.

So I told Charly:

Damn, that was fast.
I am a 42R/L in a suit and 16.5 34/35 in dress shirts, would that 52 suffice?
I am looking at getting the Black on Black TOJ1 2011 with the solid black lining.
How early could I place my order?
He replied:
Depends on how slim you want it to fit and where you carry most of your weight. If you have broad shoulders, you might wan to go with a 54.
At this point I had not even considered a 54. I figured he must think I bigger than I really am. Thats when I used the jacket measurements and gave him my measurements to show him my size. He still recommended a 54.

Ok, I bought a Levi's Slim Denim Jacket just for this.
Here are the following measurements of the jacket (i like the fit)
Shoulders 19"
Pit to Pit 22"
Mid 22"
Waist 21"
Front 24.5"
Sleeve 27"
Sleeve Widths
bicep 8.5"
elbow 7"
wrist 5.5"
My Measurements are:
Shoulders 18"
Chest 42"
Waist 37"
Front 21"
Sleeve 27"
I am 6'3" and weight 210 lbs.
With this info can you advise me on what size I should go with. I would like it to fit slim.
I was considering 50 but not sure.
I just want my first TOJ to be a good experience.
Thanks in advance.
Here are pictures of me measuring the jacket and me wearing the Jacket
So, his 54 recommendation was before the jacket.

Seems like a stock 54 would be your best bet.
I was still worried about the sizing. So emailed him saying:

The measurements on the 54 scare me a lil bit. Scared it may be too big. Do they fit slim?
He replied
Saying I used the wrong jacket is a good copout but in this case Charly made his recommendation before the jacket was introduced.
I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it.

Question for the people who have experience with both the Goat and the Lamb:
How does the goat feel and and drape compared to the lamb? Thinking about trying out the lighter brown goat on an A2 (unless it makes sense to wait for John Coppidge).
It should be a bit more durable than the lamb (and obviously more textured) but what do you lose in feel/fit?
Congrats! I can't wait for my A2 as well. But in lighter brown goat. I try to survive the wait by not thinking about the jacket at all, but then there are days where I can't decide what jacket to wear and the first thought that pops into my head is "TOJ, leather, swag"
Apologies for the awful quality webcam pics, but at least you can get an idea of the fit.
