I can verify that lamb is fine in the rain. What will happen is the rain will leave little water marks on your jacket, then they will dry and go away. I believe others have had a similar experience.

its odd because usually any sort of eye contact, comment, acknowledgement of their existence leads to them trying to stand in your path or follow you down the street begging for your signature. I feel bad doing the cold "walk past and ignore without even looking" but that's not what I want to spend my lunch time doing. It sucks when they are the kids who couldn't find a real job and instead ended up with an "internship" at greenpeace or the childrens fund that just turned out to be standing on the street and doing high-pressure signature sales for crap pay. I hope that my cold demeanor drives them to quit the job in which case the organization may have to pay slightly higher wages to the next guy.

The only petitions I like to sign with no knowledge about the actual aims of the petition are the ones where they ask if you are a registered voter and they are just trying to get someone (often themselves) onto the ballot. I'll sign those because I feel like more competition on that front can only be a good thing--I don't have to know some dude's core beliefs to think he can be on a ballot (which may in turn lead to him being included in debates/media coverage so that his true character can really come out). I'm not going to sign a petition to save the whales if I can't even tell what kind of whales they are saving.

I pass the mob of clipboard-toting petition hawkers on the way to lunch and a girl says "Nice Jacket". I look at her and say "Thank You" and then she doesn't try engage in a prolonged handshake, beg me for a minute for the environment/children/etc, or otherwise try to badger me into signing the petition.

Small sample size, but looks like the bitches were sufficiently impressed.

I've been meaning to post up a fit pic since I received my Calf DR last week. Ordered before the cut off date, so it was a decent wait for it, but I recalled that DRs took the longest to be made.

Really Happy with the fit, it's been mentioned before but Charly is the authority on measurements and sizing. Don't question him and don't try to alter his recommendations too much, otherwise you will end up with something entirely different. The only thing I requested was for a little more room in the upper body to accommodate for future gains

The calf leather is still extremely stiff, the jacket is really heavy and it was the first thing i noticed when I picked it up for the first time. Leather is tough as nails, zippers are heavyweight, wore it out the other night with just a tee underneath and it kept me fairly warm. Bitches were also mirin, let a couple try on the jacket and they instantly noticed its hefty weight. The silver zips really pop, I've also noticed that the belt loops are still the gun metal grey.

This jacket just exudes confidence and badassery!

Thanks drew and co!

Drew, I'm not telling you how to run your business, but if you release a good looking MA-1 as your first JC piece sometime this winter, you will literally become rich overnight. There's such a fervor on the forums for a simply designed, high quality MA-1 and it'd be pretty stupid not to capitalize! Something along the lines of this, currently trending on #SF:

EDIT: also, it'd be pretty great if you struck that perfect medium between too puffy and not puffy enough, ala the one above biggrin.gif

lol, you don't need to convince me man. I like MA-1's more than humanly possible, I'm wearing one right now as I type this. The thing is man, we don't put things out unless they are as perfect as I can make them, the feel has to be right. We are trying for another MA-1 soon maybe, but in the meantime, just hold tight as I work on it and get it just right.

out of curiosity, drew, why did you stop making ma-1s?  not enough interest?  problems with material sourcing? dissatisfied/bored with what you were putting out?

I.e. he wants to "perfect" the idea of the MA-1. As he has said before, he doesn't want to do things half-way. Once he is satisfied with a look/design, he will put it back out.
