I would double check with a couple of well fitting jackets. Personally I found that all my well fitting shirts, jackets, and suit coats have a shoulder of approx 19" and I am very satisfied with that measurement on both my TOJ jackets.

the arm, I'd encourage you to try on some TOJ if possible. What city are you in? Maybe someone can help you out. I have similar chest and waist (39 chest, 29 waist) and I kind of have decided TOJ doesn't work for my body. I still hold out hope tho. I have a TOJ1 in 50 (varsity usually needs size +1) and it is so tight in the armholes (lats I guess) but rather big and blousey in the waist. Perhaps if you are doing custom MDR it will work out. But I'd have to think you'd be a 50. Then again, Charly is good at sizing. I'd really suggest trying on some TOJ.
All of the non customizable leathers were the same way with me. I've got three leathers so far and none have felt that way. For reference, I'm at 39 (maybe 40 now) chest and 30-31 waist. Shoulders are actually the same or larger than The-Arm's. Honestly, I really don't know the reason for the discrepancy but between the Anniversary Harrington, TOJ1, and even my recent BBall (not as bad because I sized up) they all feel like that. Leathers are completely different.
Hi guys, long-time lurker, thought I'd finally join as I'm getting ready to order a TOJ 2010 DR but I want to be sure of my decision!
I'll either be ordering in a whiskey (likely) or maybe a black. I've looked through the gallery but a lot of the pictures aren't captioned with which material they are using and they're all taken in different lighting/picture settings so making a comparison between calf and lamb is quite difficult.
Could anyone help me out with some good comparison shots or general advice when choosing between the two? I am a complete novice when it comes to leather goods.
Does either scratch or damage more easily?
I found a few pictures on the gallery, perhaps someone can identify the material used?
1) http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=9543 (the colour i'm after)
2) http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=11430 (is this also whiskey in colour?) + http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=8923 (?same one)
3) http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=3415
looking at 2 and 3, 2 looks considerabley more shiney, so surely they must be a different material?
Sorry for all the questions, hope someone can help!
thanks!
A modified 48 with a bit added in the length, sleeve length, and chest sounds correct to me and probably what Charly suggested.

Pictures that aren't captioned didn't include a relevant description when the owner of the jacket originally posted about it, that's why.
Differences between lamb and calf.
1) vocalbrah's jacket looks like light whiskey to me, but just to confirm, you can always PM him about it. Also, the reason why I replace file names with usernames(found at the top of each gallery page), is so that they can always be traced back.
2) Yes, this is whiskey. PM him if you still have questions.
3) Also whiskey and why it doesn't look as shiny is because of the dull lighting. Again, if you have more questions, PM him.
PM him?

Does anyone know when Temple of Jawnz MTM will end? I'm interested in ordering one more jacket but I am still waiting for my current order to arrive to see whether I got the sizing correct. Is it safe to assume TOJ MTM would still be around until the end of this year?
your guess is as good as ours
just put in an order as soon as possible imo, and if you can't get one it then oh well

Maybe the full leather jackets stretch and thus are more forgiving than the non-leathers?
